Well the lamb roast went down a treat. I'm even going to do a 27 fling boogie thing before I go to bed. If I carry on like this my DH will have to call me superwoman by the end of week....well, ok, not quite but getting there! xxJanuary budget

Kitchen is looking shiny, living room is a pit. Must tackle it tomorrow, OH is talking about sanding down the floorboards, which would be great as we have a disgusting carpet in there at the moment, however I can't push him on it as it would be impossible to do at the moment because of all the junk.
Michelle - sorry to hear about your timetable, part time is so difficult in teaching isn't it, not splitting classes etc.
I am back to work next Monday, only for four days, and then the holidays, but I am going to find it tough leaving my son. I may enjoy uninterupted adult conversation! I am trying to work up a flylady routine for work, for September really. Anyone had a go? I could PM my attempt, I am sure some of you could do better than me.

Well, here I am back from w**k and I can't cross anymore off the list since I originally posted at 10:45 this morning. It's a good job it was relatively steady at w**k today because any slower I'd have fallen asleep and any more busy I'd have made loads of silly mistakes....... perhaps I have anyway but I won't realise till tomorrow when folk start shouting who made this appointment at this time?!
Night, night - see you tomorrow
Sorry I missed the live match between Pigpen and TNG - the recorded highlights were good though. Pigpen, do you always play tennis in fishnets?

Kaz well done with the jam, at least yours set, mine was more like a sauce!!
Well, BBQ been and gone, almost everything cleaned up after it, just got some left overs to put away (I ALWAYS make too much) and that dish to wash out. Oh forgot to put, I can see the dogs when they are in the garden now :rotfl: DP's brother and DP have strimmed it down to a height which I can now manage to mow which will get done when it dries out a bit..
lbnblbnb a few of the girls have a flylady when working routine, hopefully some will be able to share. Hope everything goes ok for you next week, maybe with it just being for 4 days it might be just worth seeing how things go first. See what sort of time you have left before and after work, after spending time with your little one of course.
Well tomorrow, my sitting room is desperate for being tackled, either last week I didn't dust the vivarium or someones dumped an extra week of dust on it, it's manky. As for the 'coffee table' there isn't even enough space on it to put a bloody cup on it!! Dumping ground/Hotspot which will be tackled tomorrow. One day I might be more organised...........

Oh dear honey, sorry to hear your little DD isn't well (didn't realise you were in Durham either, probably not far from me) The paed ward is fab, we've been there several times with my 2, the staff are lovely. I hope the results come back ok, give her a big hug from all of us. As for the list sorry but kids come first, balls to the housework, you spend as much time with your little special girl as you need to, housework can wait. One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me
Thanks so much, your very kind, and your right-the dirty dishes havent had a look in this evening and for the first time in a few weeks they can stay dirty and I'm not bothered!!
Nice to hear you have had a good experience of paeds aswell, you know it wasn't a "one off" so to speak! The hospital has grown massively since I was there a few years ago and it cost 3.30 for parking. Never mind we'll all just keep our fingers crossed.WW lost 33 lbs so far, [strike]13st1lb[/strike] [strike]12st13lbs[/strike] [STRIKE]11st12.5lbs[/STRIKE] 11st11lbs0 -
lbnblbnb - my flying at work routine sort of goes something like this, not sure how relevant it is for you as I work for an IT company so I have very little paperwork and about 1000+ emails a day, and everyone in the department relies very heavily on the things like calendars and task lists in outlook.
* Incoming emails are sorted into folders automatically, as this means I can filter out those that I don't actually have to do anything about, this is because I get a lot that are notifications of systems etc.
* Emails that need to be kept are put in to an appropriate folder, I have one for each project, one for department stuff, one for company stuff.
* Emails that require me to do something are put in my action folder, and often a task added to my task list.
* At the end of each day I make sure that any emails in my inboxes are moved to the appropriate folder, so that my inbox is empty.
* At the end of the week, any emails filtered into "for information only" folders are deleted.
* I have all my tasks into outlook tasks and categorised so I can see what needs to be done, and reminders added if appropriate. I have a task category for this week and this quarter which are my most used ones.
* Meetings, reminders etc go into the calendar in outlook so that I get reminders, plus also means you don't double book.
* Before I go home, I make sure my desk is tidy, any paperwork is filed away. I have a folder for each project, so all the paperwork gets kept together, also means it's easy to grab everything for a meeting.
* Each morning when I get in, I take a look over the tasks that are in my "this week" list and the calendar so I know what the targets are for the day.
* At the end of the week I do an update of where things are on each of the projects that the team are working on, and update the department quarterly plan.
* Electronic documents, emails containing important information are added to the website space for each project, so that everyone in the team has access to them.
* Once a week I delete any documents that are on my desktop, or network drive which I don't need anymore. I tend to put temp documents on my desktop (ie when saving attachments to emails) and things that need keeping for a while on my network drive as that gets backed up.
It took a while to get everything sorted into to project folders but now that I've done it, it makes life so much easier as I can find things when I need them.
* My house stuff I tend to try and get 1/2 done in the morning before work and 1/2 done when I get home, and a lot of multi tasking, like doing stuff while the dinner is cooking etc. Thankfully I don't have kids so that's one less thing to worry about.
