Well I rang the benefits office and got told I have been sanctioned for 2 weeks.

Its a joke, the advisor on the phone told me I can claim Hardship, what's the point in applying? be time hardship is sorted, the sanction will end. :(

Claim the hardship, and if you think you have a case, then appeal the sanction.

Many are overturned, either when the DM has to 'reconsider' or at at the full blown appeal.

Its called sticking up for yourself, Bill.

Some people only understand one language.

No, punching someone because you don't like what they say is not "sticking up for yourself", it's just thuggery.

That you think it's acceptable speaks volumes about your upbringing.

Its not my fault if I didn't knew where it was, I am not from Todmorden and yesterday was the first time I ever been, not really good with standard maps.

For future ref if your not sure where the employer is then check, whether its google maps/streetview, someone who knows the area, even better if you can do a dry run eg see how long it takes to get to B and find where your meant to go. Even asking the place where they are based eg any landmarks would be better than going in blind.

I thought maps were maps, didnt know standard ones were available too.

    Hope you get the job.

You can get silk maps, maybe they are fabulous enough for GG.

Mind you as Todmorden's right next to Hebden Bridge his choice of t-shirts isn't going to get him much attention.

Oh I love Hebden Bridge, I unfortunately only go there now for medical reasons but considering its so close to Halifax its surprisingly liberal and laid back, accepting you for who and what you are... unlike Halifax ;)

I look on https://www.streetmap.co.uk. Identify the nearest train/bus/tube stop. Then work out a route from there to my destination. I can't print off so I either draw a little map, or write down the street names in order.

gay_guy, have you thought about attending some adult literacy classes? It might help with application forms and such.

Perhaps OP should just consider employers can use the internt to research their potential employer, funny what one can find when 'googling' really.
