So in reality, you had a chance of an interview yesterday but didn't quite make it rather than make a statement that you had an interview.
Like I stated, I couldn't find it because I arrived in Todmorden about 3.30pm and I went to the main office first because I thought interviews were held in that office but when I turned up, a lady at reception told me its the warehouse we are having interviews and its about 15 min walk like I stated and she printed of directions for me, anyway I was looking for it and I asked some people on street that none of them heard of a Premier range and I was looking every where for it, and it was about 4.45pm when I gived up and went back to the main office and a man showed me how to get to the warehouse on street view on pc and at the time when he showed me on street view it was quite late and warehouse shuts at 5pm so I gave him my mobile number and he phoned me up this morning saying I can come to the interview this afternoon which I did, main thing is that I turned up and found it and had the interview.
Its not my fault if I didn't knew where it was, I am not from Todmorden and yesterday was the first time I ever been, not really good with standard maps.0 -
This is why, when invited for interview, you check out the location before the day. Surely that is common sense?0

Well a similer thing happens where I am working temping as the main receptionist. Perhaps in future it might be an idea to use street view on google maps that can be very useful.
Anyway the positive is you had the interview in the end.

I think we should just accept that some people are idiots, and there's not much we can do about it.

Is anything ever your fault or your responsibility? You are a grown up allegedly what is difficult about checking with the company where the interview is and maybe checking on google maps before you set off? My last interview was in London I had no idea where it was but by the wonders of modern technology I managed to work out where to go and arrived as planned. I hope you get the job and if you do you be grateful that they overlooked the fact that you couldn't get yourself to the right place at the right time, I would take a very dim view of a candidate who went to the wrong place and then "got lost" once set in the right direction and probably wouldn't bother to see them.0 -

No, it is not your fault that you didn't know where a building was in a strange town......
But, do you not think you might be at fault for- not checking exactly where your interview was being held(and thus not going to the wrong place first)
- not printing off a map from a computer before you left - and if you can't read a map getting someone to write instructions for you from the map
- not taking the phone number of the company (you had a mobile - why not store the company's number in that?)- so you could phone them if you discovered you were at the wrong place - maybe (and only maybe) they could have postponed the interview to give you time to get there or they may have given you clear directions

Whose fault is it exactly? This just about sums up why you're still unemployed after all this time. You show no initiative whatsoever, you need to be spoon-fed. And when anything goes wrong it's never your fault. Interviews are scarce, when you get one you need to prepare properly for it which includes making sure you know where you're going, even if you have to do a dry run the day before.0 -
