  • We have a similar weight loss goal within a similar timescale. I need to lose at least another 3 stone by end of May. We can keep each other motivated!

Did you hear back from Sainsbury's?

Congrats on the agreement in principle :j Xx

  • Hi all!

Londongirl - I've not measured (ordered a new tape measure at this suggestion!) but not noticed a difference with clothes.. fingers crossed watching the food and drink more closely too will help.

lucky I had a voicemail but they never called back like they said they would! from the CEO offices....babs she said her name was. Hopefully I will! Of course we can keep each other motivated... I did so much with WW and things but dont want to do that or SW again as although great got me into some bad habbits. But I miss the group side of those groups so please lets help! I've used KG as although pounds are less, the number of pounds I've got to get down by makes it sound like more of a mountain to climb!!

Everything else, I was THIS . Close to buying a book on amazon. Then I thought I would look it up on my local library site. Its a new book so I wasnt hopeful... They did so I saved £8.40 as they only charge 0.60p for ordering online. Got a refund of £20 for those fancy scales that dont work - ordering another one shortly for £6.99! Basic but must do the same job surely?

I've got family down next weekend so trying to go through the freezer this and next week to keep the costs down... that way I save most of the food budget for the weekend and the guests!

  • Hello all

    Hows everyone?

Sorry I have been missing in action, been a little bit busy.

So, MSE wise I have felt the need to spend spend spend - literally to the point where I went to several designer websites and created baskets of things I really don't need for £££ and then having this huge wave of guilt. I didn't buy a single thing! Sort of like shopping but without the pain of buying anything haha!

    xx

  • Hi all

A busy time of it at the moment. I still haven't lost a single bit of weight and its really getting me down. I am tracking everything I eat (max of 1,700 calories a day!) being honest with that - some days I have gone over that but I still tracked it. However, that doesn't include exercise so when I went over on the weekends by c600 calories yet exercise and burn at least 200 a day 5-6 times a week I think thats ok. I might have to go back to the doctor. I have measured but honestly - nothing feels different either - infact one of my dresses even feels tighter!

Moneywise - I managed to get scammed in the last week. I entered a competition and it ended up being premium text messages and cost me £90. Gutted. All I was doing was trying to win a present for my neice and I thought it was 12p a go. Turns out it was 12p a go then to get the text to say you aren't a winner cost me nearly £10. Fuming at myself. But never mind. I've blocked that number and learnt a harsh lesson.

Other MSE wise, I am being very good about Christmas presents, trying my best to remain within budget and using cash back sites etc. I am nearly complete apart from a few little bits and bobs.

Hope everyone else is good? xx

  • Hi lucky I do enter them from the forum this wasn't a recommended one but it was for one of those hover boards and I know shed love it so I thought I would spend £1.00 or just over trying to win. Should have known it was too good to be true!

I have thought about that. My mum thinks its because I am being too good, so my metabolism has dropped ( we both burn off very little compared to other people) so I might do. I also know I am very low on iron so taking suplements to help that! She also said I am like her - takes a couple of months and then BOOM she has lost a dress size so fingers crossed!

I have today got my new bank account sorted and hope to sort the switch this month which will mean an additional £100 for January fingers crossed! nice welcome to the new year. Just need to make sure its all sorted from a payroll point of view once I have got the debit card etc.

I have am having a sainsburys shop this week as the CEO's office finally rang me back! £30 voucher. Nice one! so getting Christmas food treats and wine (along with my c£50 from sealed pot) so nice happy thoughts.

One thing that happen this weekend which I havent even started to get my head around properly yet is one of my brothers best friends took his own life at 23. He was a lovely boy. Its tough what life throws at you but this one has knocked us all for 6. It made me tell all my brothers and nephews that it doesn't matter whatever they do I will always be there for them and love them. They will never be alone. x

MSE wise been fine this week and started to cash out some swagbucks to help cover last few presents for christmas x

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. It's awful at any time of year obviously, but somehow it happening in the run up to Christmas makes it seem even worse.

    Hugs Xx

  • Hi guys

quick update - funeral very moving incredibly sad.

The next morning I woke up to find my car had been keyed. Police informed and over £300 of damage done. I've got the money but at this time of year I just think why me? I hope I didnt ruin the shopping trip I had with my mum that morning afterwards but I did cry quite a bit and felt awful. Never mind?

Rest of the weekend was lovely with brothers etc. x
