  • That's really poor from your guests! The idea of having a dinner party is to acquire booze - though with my lot they usually bring tonnes and we drinks tonnes?! Hope you had a nice evening though and the food sounds like a total winner!

How are you finding the gym? Are you getting into the routine and "enjoying" it?

Hol sounds awesome, I wish my OH's hours were more predictable so we could start looking!

  • haha we did drink tons think its because BiL is off travelling and my bro is earning very little on his placement year. Oh well.

Gym is amazing. I am loving it, I went 5 times last week! Only 45 minutes each time, easy to do and worth every penny in my eyes. If I go 4 times a week, takin into account 4 weeks holiday thats only £1.75 a pop. Not bad. I tend to do 30 minutes of cardio and then 15 mins of weights and it works well.

havent seen much weight loss but hoping thats the muscles building up again!

Mines is kinda the same - DH and I are more never have weekends etc. He has randomly now had to take a week off next week so I have taken the friday off to have a long weekend so we can spend some time together. I hope you can sort yours soon! xx

  • Hello all!

So we have booked our hols. We got a great deal with Easyjet flyin from good old brizzle so all inc. 7 nights in Fuerteventura £900 (including bag checked in and special seats and transfers to the hotel). I am pleased with that because I also got 3% cash back from my site.

Right so yesterday I was talking with the mortgage broker I work with and he said lets just get you an AIP so you can start looking at houses. Well, I thought oh golly *** insert ruder swearword if you want haha what about our credit reports?! But it all went through ok and we got up to £400,000 with a 25% deposit. Well who knows what the family will help us with but great to have it all in writing that we can start looking!

I explained to DH we need to ensure we are tightening our belts as much as possible at the moment and he is on board again which is great.

    xx

  • Hello all!
I had a lovely weekend save a few family political things that upset me. I cannot believe my SiL sometimes. Never mind that.
I bought a VERY Expensive candle on ebay, felt mega guilty about it but its my 'wedding' scent and I adore it and its was £15 rather than £40 from the shops. I would never normally but its a treat. Food wise had a very MSE weekend, £20 for the weekly shop!! Plus I didnt spend on the weekend apart from this and £5 parking so I am chuffed.

  • £15 on a treat isn't bad, especially when that's less than half normal price! You enjoy it.

Sorry to hear SiL was a pain, but well done on the MSE weekend Xx

  • Hello all

Had a very busy few days but happy clients so thats good. I am loving Brizzle and intend on drinking lots of cider as I have a long weekend this weekend!

However, very depressed about my weight again. Barely lost a pound even though I have been going to the gym 4-5 times a week (working hard when I go) and eating more carefully. Goodness only knows what is going on!! Hopefully all sort itself out again soon. I will continue to be be as good as I possibly can. Can't even feel it in my clothes.. goodness only knows what's going on.
MSE wise I bought a dress online for Christmas party and then family events £20 so much cheaper than the RRP of £195! This was covered by the cash back I got from quidco today. I also have to get new work shoes (I always buy primark as mine as ruined so quickly so budgeting £20 for 2 pairs) this is part of my clothes allowances which I havent really spent recently.

Foodwise I have handed the budget over to DH this week. He is massively failing and realising its not as easy as it looks! haha! But grateful as he drove me around today for my meetings as they were pretty hectic so grateful.

Expenses due will help towards the CC this month which is higher than normal due to holiday deposit being added (for the claim back in case there is a problem) balance will be on debit to reduce the cost. Although this additional cost is more than covered by cash back I still get the claimback if I only pay part on the CC so save the c£15 for the the rest.

Hope everyone else is well xx

  • Sorry to hear your hard work isn't showing on the scales. It is possible to lose inches and change shape without losing weight, though it sounds like you don't feel that is the case either. Do you vary what you eat and drink plenty of water too? Xx

  • hello all

Well after a busy few days I am so ready for a lovely long weekend.

Goodness only knows about the lack of weight loss. Its only been a month though so I shouldn't complain. Back when I started in Jan at the gym it took a long time to see the results. Fingers crossed eh?

MSE wise I have had a huge problem with sainsburys about the delivery service and things recently so I have emailed their CEO! wonder what he will say....

Hope you all have a lovely Friday and weekend xx

  • Afternoon all - how is everyone?

Had a great weekend - only spoilt by a massive row this morning with DH haha. Never mind it was stupid but upset me - basically I need help with something and he didnt read the instructions and ruined it. Never mind.

MSE wise - we had a curry out that came to £55!!! It wasn;t even that nice. Gutted we spent that much... in the budget but still. More than a weeks shopping! never mind.

Hope everyone else is well x

  • Morning all

I have downloaded an app to help me keep on top of what I am eating and drinking and help me to reach my goal! I want to get down to 90KG by 4th June 2016. That is 20KG. I think I can do this?! But good to have a goal anyhow.

Moneywise, I have now paid down 0% credit cards to £850 and loan is £1,689. Yes I do have more than this is savings (even after paying half of the holiday!) but with the early repayment of the loan penalties not worth paying it off early (finishes July 2016) and rest on 0% so earning more interest than paying but getting that down by c£188 a month. It shows on my noodle but haven't included my o2 refresh on here, which is £375 (paying off £25 a month for my phone so 15 months left) as that is part of my contract and in total I only pay £31.28 so really count that as my 'phone bill'.

Did I tell you all about the agreement in principle (checks!) Yes so this is really exciting and hopefully family will tell us how much we can borrow and we can start to look at houses!!!!

    xx
