I have a confession. I've been looking at cars again... I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it/ Friday and next week I have to go off to a client who is miles away from public transport and its costing loads in taxi's that the company take forever to pay back on my expenses.

Real thought needed. I know we could 'afford' it but I want to pay off my credit cards first. although all now on 0% interest its very frustrating that debt there.....

I also want to see if I can pay off my RBS loan earlier than planned... I would love to be debt free by the end of the year but we shall see..

Anyhow weekend was very MSE - went out for lunch yesterday and brother paid so free! YAY!

Yes ok, there are minor frustrations, but that's Life, eh?

Good luck with the raspberries and the rest of your veg - it's a wonderful tonic to care for 'em growing through to harvest, and then have the pleasure of eating your successes straight off the plant!

What does DH think about the car idea?

ps. I've returned to Flying Solo because the new diary just didn't feel 'right'..

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week... I have been SO busy its crazy...
but still being positive and enjoying things.

This week is flying by, lots of client meetings and very busy at work but still keeping up the fast days and the gym! In fact I am off there again tonight. I'm slightly disappointed I've not seen the results I want too, but then again I am sure I will soon.

MSE wise I've had another 3 NSDs (I count them if I only spend something ie travel and can claim off expenses but nothing else) which makes 5 for Jan. I hope for more in Feb!

I had a chat at work yesterday about my responsibilities etc and how I need a car but currently this is very unaffordable etc and they are reviewing my pay and bonus structure! YAY! wouldnt that be great?? I could pay off my debt faster and get a car woohooo!!

With this in mind I bought a cheap second hand book for one of the managers at work as I knew she would love it... just a gesture (she has no control over bonus etc so not a bribe!)

I will catch up on everyones diaries hope you are all still being good!

PS yes Robin I love my garden - I have made a polythene tunnel to protect my vulnerable veg as its very frosty here!

Hello all...

So work is crazy at the moment but so glad I am standing up for myself with it comes to fees we charge and being credited with them... the boys take all the credit when I do all the work! Plus my bonus structure is very unfair. So, I've started my own spreadsheet of how much work I do for all the schemes, and then I will argue my case even more strongly!

Well after taking a huge amount of abuse I have today stood up for myself!

I firstly talked to the man in question, explained that yes I may be female, I may be 40 years younger, however - our job roles are the same and if he shouts at me one more time I will follow the HR route and log it as a formal compliant. I feel empowered!

Also, spoke to boss about how unhappy I am with pay structure, no motivation etc (this is another one to the one before!) but happy I am dealing with this and I just feel so much better...

As for MSE ... not such a good weekend had family up all still in budget but spent loads... never mind.

The guy went all quite and then got quite angry - so I said apoliges are worthless if you raise your voice during them! soooo funny he went bright red and shut up.

Crazy busy few days and lots of client meetings - budget went out of the window but have £160 of expenses due back to sort that out... I really need to sort this out as it makes me sorta think oh god where has all this money gone?!?

Also, had a great time in L;'shire yesterday and enjoy the snow! Beautiful!
