    Annoyed??
Hola girl, take it as a compliment..
Oh and people-remember, hook up and get married before you get any sort of promotion..
Apparently once you are a manager (NOT line manager or being reported to on ANY line - yes I have also read the whole thread) you are screwed and you ought to be single for ever..
Because asking someone for a drink might cause getting your head chopped off
    (Humour, just pre emptying here)

Yes, so it's up to the OP to reject the invitation, it doesn't mean someone can't extend an invite

Yes, it is up to the OP to reject the invitation. But someone who is in a relationship is (to me anyhow) out of bounds, you just don't do it.

But I think that is issue on moral level, not necessarily working level.
The guy is a twonk, but that does not mean he needs to be reported to HR.
All though under the exact instruction ,do NOT use my personal number' OP could ask HR to have a word..not that I would, but if anywhere there would be a ,reason' for annoyance.

I totally agree. I don't know if you've read the rest of the thread, but if you have you'll see that I've said the same thing. Reporting to HR at this stage would be a major over-reaction.

Am I the only person that has drinks with people (male and female) as friends? I can't see anything that suggests there was a sexual or non platonic motive.

(And fivetide, before you get your knickers in a twist, I have read all the OP's posts.)

Exactly what I was going to say until someone beat me to it! !
