Being dehydrated does make you think you are hungry all the time. Next time you want to reach out for those apple slices, I would drink a good couple of glasses of water.
The other thing would be to stick salad leaves into your sandwiches, watercress is high in iron. So is curly kale which you could have as part of dinner. I am not good at meal plans but you have some good recommendations here.0 -
too much water can kill you.
there's water in all drinks and foods!!

Closed - you are bonkers, sure too much water can kill you but equally not enough can kill you too, especially if you are walking across the Sahara Desert! Same goes for food - eating too much can kill you, eating none can also kill you.0

True, very clever of you to detect it.
I'm learning so much from this thread.
I never knew there was lots of sugar in diet Coke, and that grating cheese tip is a mindblower.!!

No idea why there's all this trolling going on. To suggest that someone of the OPs height and build loses weight on 1000 cals a day is ridiculous.
You work out your tdee, you apply whatever factor for how active you are and you eat less than that. Plucking some random figure out of the air is nonsensical.
And yes, nuts are high calorie, but some are very good for you, it's how many you eat that counts.0 -
Someone who has a different opinion to you is not a troll!!

The danger about giving out poor advice is that some people might take it.
OP I know a few people who have done the body for life programme. You can get a copy of the book on eBay for about 3/4 quid. It has recipes, meal plans, there's a cheat meal built in once a week. There's also an exercise plan as well, it might be worth having a look. It's a plan for life.0 -
1000-1500 calories a day.. you'll lose weight easily, thoughts of food are dominating the day if you have 8+ eating events.
If you really want to do something about it, cut out the snacking completely. Once you get in the mindset of not eating every waking hour, the hunger pains will go
Your advice is not just wrong, it's dangerous.
You obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about.0 -
Really?
Meanwhile half the western world is obese, diabetic, more prone to cancer and heart problems as they follow green tea and a whole host of faddy diets that do nothing.
My advice was to ditch the high calorie food, snacking, eat proper protein and veg meals, and reduce calorie intake to around 1000-1500 a day, quite sensible, and safe. People fast, do the 5:2, have their stomach stapled all the time, which means they eat far less than that, and survive.
Diet threads attract many people who don't have a clue, so I'm not alone.!!

The 5:2ers only eat low calorie 2 days a week, they eat their TDEE the rest
Take it from someone who's does 1000 calories a day, yes you lose weight, but it makes you feel ill and it's not sustainable for a long period0
