Managed to burn new disc and have tried to install but message is
Set up cannot find temporary installation files. HaRd drive on which setup places temporary files is not currently available to windows Xp. You may need a manufacturer supplied device driver or need to run set up again and select a drive compatible with windows Xp for temporary installation files. See your windows Xp documentation for more information. Set up cannot continue
Do I need to install drivers and utilities cd sp1. I also have a Nero express 6 cd?..0 -

Nifty digits.I've downloaded new disc but nowhere to put the product key number?
I've used the SET UP windows Xp I've agreed to the license agreement and I've set up windows on in partitioned space and at the end it gave me a message error loading operating system.
I've now repaired a windows Xp installation using recovery console but this then gives me a message : the recovery console provides system repair and recover functionality, type exit to quit the recovery console and restart the computer
1: c: windows
Which windows installation would you like to log onto
To cancel press enter?
When I press enter it wants to boot from cd with error loading operating system message
I've tried pressing f2 for automated system recovery but this asks me to insert disc into floppy drive and press any key but that only repeats the message.
I am trying setting up windows Xp Again and error loading page??..0 -

ive tried a couple of ways recover xp and set up xp as described previously. it runs right through the programme then at the end says error loading ? vista loaded up but it was very very slow. ive pressed r to delete the previous installed bit on partition so putting on empty. Partition
There is no point in the instruction where you have to press R to to delete a partition.
Don't make it up as you go along. Follow the instruction to delete, recreate and format the HDD to NTFS, then to install XP to that partition.
Do not choose R at any juncture.0 -
ive gone through the installation following the guide i get up to step 16 of 34 windows will install from the xp cd then the next page does not show as illustrated, the cd formats but then the boot screen comes on and I get the error message error loading operating system.
Im a bit unsure about step 3 of 34 and press f6 to install a third party driver. I tried pressing it on the second go and it was saying something about mass storage device. Or put in a floppy disc in drive A. I do have a disc for drivers and utilities from fujitsu?both times Ive had the error message.
I have tried checking the cmos so can set it to default as per the guide but cannot get into the screen by clicking on f2...0 -

Have you tried Del on restart/power on?
Is the HDD of the same type as was there before? Both IDE/PATA as opposed to SATA?0 -
