Well Jessica from Alpharooms emailed me before 1pm promising my details had been passed to Customer Service and someone from there would contact me ASAP.

I emailed back at 3.15 to say nobody had contacted me. Another promise that someone would shortly.

Guess what...??

Nobody did.

Just had an email from Jessica now saying she's going home now for the day and the weekend but "hopefully" someone from Customer services will get in touch "soon".

Great. Now what do I do?? Apart from ringing them again and going through the whole rigmarole of promised calls that don't happen...again.

I'm absolutely fuming with Alpharooms and will NEVER use them again!

tbh zaksmum just reading that exchange over how to send an email, it's not been recieved please resend etc just smacks of uselessness.

A company shouldn't make it hard to send an email and it shouldn't take this long to get a response - if I were you I'd just book an alternative room with a company who know the difference between their bums and their elbows.

Thanks Mary...you're right. It's beyond ridiculous. Alpharooms are useless. I have been emailing them all day and they just constantly promise someone will call me back and - of course - nobody has done.

And now the person who contacted me on here has gone home for the entire weekend saying "hopefully" someone will get in touch over the weekend!

Just not good enough at all.

Looks like I will have to cancel and rebook with another company as you say. Trouble is now that there's little left that would be as suitable for me as my original hotel:(

have you checked your original hotels website to see if you can book direct, unlikely but worth a try, or it may be available with another broker

Probably not much point hanging on for Alpharooms, IMO better to get your money back

How strange that a company rep would come on here and make all the right noises and then just go on to prove the OP correct in her assertions. How to further damage your reputation in one easy move.

I have now made a mental note never to use Alpharooms (who I had never heard of before, BTW).

OP, perhaps you might like to try LateRooms.com? If they've got the same hotel, you might get a room even cheaper than with AlphaRooms. It's worth a shot

I've used them a few times myself and had no problems. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, and I won't get commission from them either, more's the pity
