Alpharooms mess up yet again

I booked a hotel at the beginning of April with Alpharooms, due to fly in less than a week.

Alpharooms emailed me today saying that "due to a stopsales error", they could not fulfil my booking which they confirmed six weeks ago.

They offered me another hotel but this is unsuitable as I am disabled and it is up a hill - the original hotel is in a flat area.

They gave me the option to either accept it, or take a full refund, but it leaves me frantically trying to find and book a suitable alternative just days ahead of my flight.

This is the third time Alpharooms has done this to me. I stupidly gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked again with them, but I certainly will never do again. I'm left wondering just how common this practise is with them.

So be careful if you are thinking of booking with Alpharooms.

The confirmed booking you had might turn out not to be a booking at all - something to bear in mind as we approach the summer holiday period.:(

    I am extremely sorry to hear that an error with our travel provider has meant that your original booking can no longer be fulfilled and for any inconvenience or upset this may have caused you. We have acted in line with our Agency Terms of Business in offering you an alternative hotel or a full refund, so I am very sorry to hear that the alternative offered is unsuitable.

I can assure you that we make every effort to maintain the booking arrangements confirmed to our customers, the vast majority of which are happy with the service they receive.     Sorry to hear about this, Zaksmum.

    Have you tried Superbreak? I book with them every single time I go away, airport hotels or staying hotels, and have never had a single issue.

    I have sent another email. If you also do not get this one please advise on here and perhaps I can use an alternative email address. I am clicking on the link you have sent to send you the email so cannot imagine why you are not receiving it.

    Will taking the issue to MSE PM be quicker?
