Our friend the tropical storm is moving in - I cannot believe our luck at having both the roofer and the tree surgeon out before it struck on the first dryish day in nearly a week! :j
We are now £650 worse off and while the tree surgeon broke a paving slab, Mrs E says they replaced it straight away with a suitable replacement. Good service on that front and I suppose it stops them claiming on their insurance?
Selling off a few lower yielding P2P loan parts today and my new total is £10,825.30 @ 6.05% after tax.0 -

Everything fine up here, we survived the storm with nary a scratch. Mrs E decided to come into town (muttered something about cabin fever), nice, as I got to drive home

First solar PV quote done and dusted, along with two boiler quotes. One more quote at 3 and then the weekend can begin
Went grocery shopping this morning, managed to leave the car light on again, the battery charger I bought is the best hedge against my forgetful nature ever.0 -
Just ordered £170 worth of switches and socket covers. Growing up sucks, but this house is going to look soooo good when it's finished0

What was your PV quote like and what do you get. If you post it on the green money saving thread you will get some honest feedback.0 -
The first one was £5,395 for a 3.3kW system, seems more expensive than it should be. Tbh I think that's what I should be paying for 4kW? Could you link to the thread please?0

Way too expensive, give a company called TP solar a call I thoroughly recommend them. They were fantastic with my installation and everything they said had been correct so far. Let them know I referred you
