Fair point, hadn't actually thought of it :)

This evening I have been trying my hand at 'buying it for life'. Our scabby Chinese takeaway tupperware has been replaced with fancy Pyrex stuff with a 10 year warranty. 9 containers with 25% off + 10% off code + cashback, but it's still something like £40 on tubs

Thinking of DD as well, prefer the idea of nice inert containers with no plasticky chemicals in them.

I've been thinking the same recently, though the price is

Contractors source - more expensive and likely more generic (doubt they'd buy "Frankenshower"). ;)
You source - less expensive (probably) but more time consuming.

Cost - This really depends on the quality of finish and what materials you want to use.

I like the inertness of glass too. And of stainless steel. And I have a weird pyrex-type frying pan :)

Agreed. I bought in a sale, with a discount code, cashback and I've stoozed it on an interest free credit card. It was *still* expensive!

I can totally picture an American trash TV style show in which you travel the country buying bat**** crazy interiors for people :rotfl:

Hi Ed, re the frying pan, no, literally, it's glass, coloured pyrex, see through. It must be really strong!

Well, I believe Pyrex is fine up to 300 degrees celsius, probably can't get hotter than that on the hob?

Gutted - John Lewis have 20% off the only fancy light fitting that we're looking for - it's out of stock. First world problem I know, but we need to try and save *some* money during operation 'fix everything in our hoos' :(
