Vodafone harrasment

  • I also am getting these unsolicited calls ..... incredible that when I have an issue with Vodafone I have to make a call to the other side of the world, which is invariably never solved ... yet when it suits Vodafone they can call me from Rotherham, and when challenged, the person who calls me, actually lies to me.
Biggest error I made was moving from 02 ... can't wait until my contract ends with Vodafone .... then going back to 02, you really do get what you pay for.
Don't do it .... stick with a quality provider who cares.
  • Another "me too" post. I received a call from this Rotherham number yesterday, and turned down their offer for a tablet, which I didn't need.

It was very hard to understand what the person was saying due to the huge level of background noise (including a period of raucous whooping, which was probably when someone had persuaded someone else to take up their "special offer")

I thought that would be the end of it, as they seemed to lose interest in me as soon as I turned this offer down.

However, I have received 3 more calls from this number in the last 24 hours, and the two I have answered have been silent calls.

I want to know how to make this stop!

I've contacted using the Vodafone form link posted above (though it seems the biography on the Vodafone contact's page no longer has the link) - the reference I received was 11853540, in case anyone from Vodafone is reading this post.

  • I had a call from this number last Friday and they said I could upgrade to a better package. I said ok and they sent me a new sim. But they never said it would be another line and another number! How do I cancel it? Went into Vodafone shop today and they said I have to call 191 but will they cancel it for me cos it sounds like thus other place isn't actually Vodafone!! .. Any advice please?

I was receiving constant calls on my Vodafone PAYG a while back - I googles the number and apparently it was an external company calling on behalf of Vodafone.

I never answered a single call and they eventually ceased. I have a general policy of not answering calls if I don't recognise the number. Isn't that the answer to these situations?

Don't trust anything Vodafone tells you. Check and check again until you have actual confirmation it was cancelled. Don't bother waiting for call backs from managers. If all else fails, contact the WRT as constantly instructed on the Vodafone Complaints Thread.
  • This number started to call me yesterday...and again they called today at the same time. I'm not close to my upgrade date so I don't know why they are bothering me now. It only rings for a few seconds and I can't answer it in time, no message is left. I have now blocked the number.

If you followed the instructions you have missed one important part:
Once sent, you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Post it on here and I’ll check I've received it.

  • Vodafone - getting these calls too.

Left me a voicemail today in which the operator can be heard swearing, using the word "f*cking" - which was wonderful as I had my phone on loud speaker in front of my kids!
