Vodafone harrasment

Vodaphone's "marketing department" (01709 765330) is calling me 5 to 14 times a day, every day. Most of the calls are silent. When there is a human there I have asked them to stop calling. They have refused "We are your 'phone provider. We have every right to call you." I have tried ignoring the calls which only seemed to increase the frequency. I have contacted their nuisance caller bureau which responded by telling me that I should register with the TPS (which, of course, I've been registered with for years). I've contacted them via twitter and was told that I needed to report "technical faults" to Vodafone (on, of course, a premium rate 'phone number) but it's not a technical fault - it's the psycho call centre.
So, I've asked for a PAC code and am now moving. Vodafone, of course, are charging me £50 to get out of my contract.
Any ideas that don't involve a lot of faff on my part? I've already spent too much time on this.

Have you tried making an official complaint (in writing) to Vodafone and then escalating it to CISAS? If you have it in writing that they refused to stop then you should be able to go straight to CISAS.0

I keep getting the same phone call at least 4 times during my work hours which is an inconvenience and disrupting as I need to keep my phone on for work related calls. I have asked them not to call me between 730am and 5pm yet they are still calling me during these hours. To make matters worse I am then called by a marketing company to complete a survey about the sales call. I am disappointed that they do not respect my request not to call me in my work time.0

I too have had problems with a call from this number.
They have been ringing for days, and every time I answered they hung up.
Then, yesterday I finally managed to speak to them, and they told me that " as a loyal customer there were plenty of offers that "only we can provide""
I explained that I currently have 2 lines with them, was very happy with the service and didnt need a 3rd line, ipad, or signal booster and would just like to continue with my contract as usual.
They then did a "health check" on my 2 existing lines, and recommended that I cancel my second line as this was out of contract, and move over to a better deal which was exclusive with them.
I corrected them, telling them I still had another 11 months on that line, so any exit fees would mean a bigger loss than any gains I could make out of the new contract. and they told me I was mistaken. I thanked for this revelation, and said that I would check when I got home in the evening, and arranged for them to call me back.
So, this morning I go online, can see that I am still in contract until next August, and that the "exclusive deal" they could offer me is advertised right there on the site ( I know that this is the one they are talking about, as its a very odd price per month), and it is in fact an additional line.
Oh, and you know how they are obligated to tell you "this call may be recorded for training purposes"? Well I have an app on my phone that allows me to do the same thing, so when they call back I might well threaten to send them my recording.
I hate being lied to, and I wonder how many others they get to sign up for a 3rd line unwittingly. Not like they dont get enough money from me in the first place.LBM: March 2012 DEBT: 7500 DFW DATE: Jan 14

If you want Vodafone to investigate the call you received, you can contact them using the instructions in post three. They may be able to trace the rep who called you, and even if they can't, they clearly need to improve their sales training. They may also be able to ensure that you don't receive any further sales calls if that's what you want.0

It's not Vodafone themselves that call you but a telemarketing company called Webhelp TSC, same people do Sky.I too have had problems with a call from this number.
Seems to be usual problems of minimum wage employees trying to reach targets to earn bonuses and prizes etc. etc.
Perhaps drop them an email and tell them to remove you from the databaseIt's not just about the money0 -
