Hi guys, I bought a Morphy Richards Intellichef last year (from their ebay outlet for £50). I would thoroughly recommend it. MR puts them up every now and again on ebay. Their customer service is good and the Intellichef comes with a 6 month guarantee.

I have a lakeland superchef and am very pleased with it.It is great for starting things off for slow cooking. The timer is also useful. The temperature adjustment for the oven is helpful.Although it is expensive I purchased it as an alternative to a new oven. With the lakeland gaurentee I have not regreted the investment.
I also have a remoska grand.I think the remoska may be better for bread and cakes. It cooks from the top whereas the superchef cooks from the bottom.I tend to turn bread over for the last ten minutes in the suoerchef to brown it.
The remoska may be worth a look depending on what you are looking for.
If the star chef is still at the reduced price that is a lot less than the superchef.

thanks guys... i brought an actifry yesterday for the chips initially, but after using it 3 times since, i am not impressed. Everything tasted greasy, even wheni substituted the oil with frylight.
I liked the idea of the yoghurt maker function of the superchef, as well as the bake, as the oven is always the stage my baking seems to go wrong! i have a show cooker, and couldn't live without it, but the steamer etc seemed good....
Think i am just swayed by the idea of the bung it in and let it go.......
Ok, ok, i need to go back onto Weightwatchers, lost 7 stone..... 2 back on, this has to change.....Help!!!

I was just browsing their site for something and came across this

    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/20228/Oven-Rack-Soaking-Tray

    Which looks suspiciously like this

The Lakeland one is quite a bit larger than either of the two litter trays though
  • The Lakeland tray is huge and great for my oven shelves.
The one from Pet Planet just wouldn't be big enough.

How much of a difference can there be between two plastic trays?
