And what, excatly is "Paper Making"?
It's what it says it is - making paperTake a look here
I'll add this to the existing thread on Lakeland products to keep ideas together.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

i make my own paper, with seeds in it, so when i make cards etc, they can be planted afterwards i use wild flowers for that
i also make discs with herb seeds in them and put them on plant pots (with a bag of compost inside) so the recipient has everything they need to grow post of herbs, i paint the pots too
using junk mail give you an elephant grey sludge though:(
and there is a lot of kinds you cannot use
i colour mine with tiny bits of tissue paper, you only need a postage stamp size to colour a whole batch
and experiment with what you press it between, to give different textures ( a pack of poundland floor tiles are good)
i write wee poems on the back of mine so peeps know what to do with them
I send you this greeting, instead of a card
being a friend of the earth, is sometimes quite hard
when frost have gone, plant this in the ground
when summer comes, flowers will be found
things like that
its a messy thing to do, but fun & easy0 -
I just made a massive order totalling £70 with Lakeland as a result of reading this thread.
The Add a Shelf, the Oven Liner (start as I mean to go on!) a new bag filler thing and something else.
My cooker is notoriously under shelved.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Not wishing to be the bringer of doom but do be careful with the oven liner if you have a fan oven. I bought the oven liner and placed in my shiny new oven, didn't realise the fan would actually blow the liner up and somehow I ended up with the most horrendous mess under the liner, part of the liner dissolved into the mess and to this day (2 years on) there is still a residue on the floor of the oven.
Lakeland refunded the money but to be honest I've had one too many items from them that are complete rubbish I avoid them at all now.0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You do know she was joking!
Forget soaking the oven shelves etc in Litter trays, baths etc. Oven Mate gel from Lakeland is an absolute must for those ovens and shelves that need cleaning, so easy to use and smell free.
I'd second that, its brilliant stuff and being a gel not messy.
I've used nothing else for about 15 years and my oven still looks brand new.
Oven Mate lasts ages too as you don't need loads of the product to do the job.
I have nightmares that they'll stop doing the stuff as its so efficient.0 -
I've had a bit of a splurge
2 packs of the soup freezer bags, perfect egg timer, bag thing for washing trainers, tap adapta, poachpods, burger maker, salad spinner ...I am now considering the wrapmaster cling film...I only went on there for a look lol
BTW, I bought some of the green bags a couple of weeks ago and they are brilliant, lettuce still fresh after 2 weeks..miracle!0 -
@ifonlyitwereeasier *Perhaps this thread should be relabelled the 'Lakeland Temptations Thread*?
Customer Service and glowing reports here have mean't I think Lakeland is one of the better things in life and so one must look after whilst at the same time being scrupulously honest in feedback.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
