Best things - lock'n'lock tubs, oven liners and the little mesh liner for baking trays.
Worst thing - magnetic kitchen timers, we've had three, they replaced the last lot but pn this lot the magnets have all fallen out too!

What does the green fuzzy thing for the bottom of the fridge do? Is it a stay fresh thing, and if so, is it better than the bags?

oh dear I've just bought a magnetic kitchen timer
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Maybe yours will receive gentler treatment, ours were used by our six kids to time things like piano practice, tidying rooms etc, then would get SMACKED onto the fridge with gusto when finished!

A Remoska was our best buy, what is it, its a sort of fast slow cooker! We are caravaners and when I retired seven years ago we decided that we would go on a long trip around Europe. I saw the Remoska and I noted that the power was only 500 watts, has some of the continental sites only supply 4amps I thought that it would be ideal, if it worked......hoping that it would not be another device pushed to the back of the cupboard. Before we started off my wife decided to try it out. she cooked a meal in it, meat, veg potatoes, lovely, then baked a cake made buns every thing came out very well cooked and so simple and only one non-stick pan to wash... My wife can cook a full chicken in it with veg and potatoes underneath cooking in the juices, The heat is in the lid so no food touches hot surfaces so can not burn. So after seven years use, four months caravaning each year and home use( my pork meal was made in it tonight) its still going strong. We have not used any gas in the caravan in this time so we are saving money as well. thank you Lakeland ltd. bri.....:T

We have this and I think its great. It cushions the veg and picks it up from the bottom of the drawer - if there is any moisture at the bottom it won't touch the veg. It really seems to prevent things from going off.

Can't comment on the bags though.

I bought a 'fruit kebab' thingie once and it broke the first time I used it. Called up and got a refund straight away. Also use the green 'long life' bags for fruit and veg and also the pineapple corer which does the job first class. My mistakes include an enamel roaster which was tiny when it arrived (I know, I know, I could just have read the small print!). However, I put it in the attic (as you do) and one day got a courtesy call from them asking for feedback on recent purchases. When I told them about the item, they said they would refund the cost immediately (I didn't even ask for this) and told me to donate it to a charity shop of my choice. Absolutely first class and has made me a very loyal customer. My sister too - though it costs her an absolute fortune as she's a mad manic baker woman!:rotfl:

So it is useful - just not as a potato masher.

Of course I just HAD to visit the site after reading this thread and now am £26 poorer! Not complaining though as the DW1 code enabled me to buy the NoFaf clingfilm and foil dispensers that others have raved about at a very reasonable price indeed. Thanks to the OP:T
