I get soup and sauce bags in Home Bargains/ Quality Save. Lakeland charge £3.99 for 20 and they work out about 89p for 8 in HB0

. Do those metal 'soap' thingys work?
I've read somewhere (probably on here!) that rubbing any stainless steel item will work...worth a tryweaving through the chaos...0 -

The latter allows air to circulate to ensure crisp food so its great for things like oven chips/wedges (no need to turn) and small pastries/canapes and such. Both were really good buys.
Oh dear - i think i had better avoid the shop if ther is a sale on! I LOVE lakelandr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Ditto garlic gadgets! I'm perfectly capable of using the squashing under a big knife method I was taught at college, but I hate the smell on my hands. Do those metal 'soap' thingys work?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

Well if I could get the smell off my hands then I don't mind processing it with a knife!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Yes they really do work. Ideal for fish, garlic smells. Three of my indian friends use them, fish, curry etc. Got mine in Debenhams.0

I bought some of the BIG plastic bags that you fill with blankets, duvets or other like stuff, then you use the Vac to suck out all the air and the bulk is reduced so you can maximise storage space. I bought 4 boxes of assorted sizes which cost about £45 for 8 bags. After a day I found that three had let air in, so I phoned Lakeland and they replaced them. The following week I found that all of the bags had let air in. Was I cross? You bet!!!!
They did refund fully but I won't be buying any more of those. Really good idea, rubbish valves tho..............0 -
I love my over the door hooks, chefs candles, lock n store (or whatever they're called) and bag clippits (though I bought some at Ikea too - cheaper!) I love the liquor choccies too - brandy beans for example!
Mum loves the Bathshine and ecloths from there too. She uses the degradable compost bags too so she doesn't have to go down the garden every day in winter.
Its always good for a mooch (close to work at lunchtime) and I even did a Mystery Shop there once!

My best Lakeland buy is their leather cleaner - it's a brilliant shoe cleaner. Just a wipe and shoes are really shiny.:D My worst are cake stands as I haven't used them - I just use plates, don't know why I bought them.0
