I don't use the lettuce knife it just sits in the drawer, but use the stack a boxes ALL the time. they are just about wearing out after it must be 15 years. For some reason though we lose them! ths kids take sandwiches to school in them.
I love their cake and loaf tin liners - not very money saving, but so easy.
I am surprised that the maggots hatched in such a cold place as a fridge! They normally like wam bins in the summer - I remember a chicken in the bin years ago - pre MSE!( runs off feeling nauseous)0 -

My fake egg (egg timer thingie) has been used so much that it has gone a bit cloudy and is getting difficult to read now. I bought it as a stocking filler for OH during our first christmas together 8 years ago (he loves boiled eggs) and it's been used at least weekly ever since. Best £5 I ever spent I reckon.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

I am soooooooo shocked by this thread!
I love the Lakeland catalogue - for ideas.
Silicone baking moulds - Poundshop
Jar Gripper - Poundshop
Lettuce Knife - Poundshop
(anyone noticed a theme yet?)
Pineapple Corer - £1.99 Lidl
I will admit that there are some things that are exclusive to Lakeland but quite often you can find something remarkably similar for half the price.
The one thing that fascinates me is the Remoska - does anyone know if it's any good?0 -
I was looking at the microwave egg poacher in there as I can never successfully poach an egg. Has anyone got one and are they any good?0

I've got a microwave egg poacher that I bought from Poundstretcher - far cheaper than Lakeland. Again you have to pierce the yolk of the egg but it recommends that you cook on Medium rather than Full Power. Mine also came with a cover - similar to the plate covers that you can buy - so if it did explode, you and microwave are safe from 'redhot flying shrapnell'! I also bought the microwave omelett (sp?) maker, and the bacon crisper plate from Poundstretcher. All good vfm - and all work to my satisfaction - secret is to undercook first as with all microwave recipes!0 -
Back to thread - I like the lock & lock containers and the hangers for tea towels, etc. , also the clippits. Worst has to be the thing for cleaning venetian blinds - makes no impression on mine at all!
Sorry I know this post was ages ago but has anybody had any success with the blind brite duo cleaner. I need something to tackle the venetiansThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

My DH and DS clubbed together to buy me a Pizza Maker as a combined Valentines Day Gift (first one in 28 years - child bride!)/early Mothers' Day Gift. I had lusted after one for a while but thought (a) it was too dear and (b) my HM pizzas were always being complimented so why try to improve on perfection?! However, I have to say that it is fantastic and no problem now doing 10 pizzas in quick succession for DS and his friends. They only need to be cooked for just over 3 minutes each. Read the reviews on Amazon - I agree with them. I have also used it to make a frittata, which I usually do in the oven, and it was far quicker. I'll probably use it for all sorts of things such as heating flat breads and naans, etc. etc.0
