  • I second that on the Julienne veg cutter its just rubbish.

My best buys are the burger press and a yoghurt maker i have had for about 10 years. Its makes 6 little pots of yoghurt.

Just want to say I love the green fridge cushion, but won't use it anymore after a horrible experience with it although I have to say it was probably just a fluke thing to happen.I always wipe the drawer and fridge out as part of my weekly cleaning routine.A few days later I went to get something out of the drawer and something fell onto the floor,I looked and it moved.I emptied the drawer and could'nt believe what I saw.The little holes in the sponge resembled the inside of a beehive, about two thirds of the holes had tiny maggots in them wriggling away.It must have been perfect for a random insect on the veg to lay it's eggs in it.Needless to say contents of the fridge was totally disposed of.I know it was probably just bad luck but I hate maggots,my phobia and just could'nt face it happening again.

OMG!!!!   I'm going to get rid of mine NOW. (It seemed like such a good idea at the time, though!)
  • the biggest airer I have ever seen. It folds small but has 3 large drying areas on each side and each one can collapse so it is very very versatile. It has 2 drip trays, spaces for hangers and 4 moveable feet. It is one of the best things I have ever bought

actifry. It is fab because I can cook lovely `chips` in a tsp of oil and it is safe and easy to use

Bulk yoghurt maker is in use 3 times a week

Their sputnik shaped potato masher was hopeless.

I am such a big fan of lakeland and I daren`t go on their site or I`ll buy things I don`t really need

I've found the lettuce knife to be handy - the lettuce doesn't go brown so quickly.
I also use clippits (probably) every day and must have around 50 in use around the use. I also love sockies, especially now the kids pair up their socks at night. This saves me having to pair them up and misplacing the odd sock!
I also love their fudge (the one made in the Lake District with only a 6 week date on it) - its delicious. I had a different fudge for Xmas and it just wasn't the same!

Panasonic SD255 bread maker- Just great the best! I used a £10 off code. I bought it from there just in case it was pants, as I new I could take it back but no need.

Breathable bread bags - really good, I put my hot loaf in there, no condinsation, looks like a shop fresh loaf.

My all time favourites are clippits - most of those I own belonged to my late Mum which I inherited in 1998!!!

When I was a child (I'm 53) Mum used to by quite a few things from Lakeland - the company ran from a building behind Windermere railway station (they are still there but the building is much smarter). I used to love it when the catalogue came as they always sent the comercial one as well - full of potato bags, turkey bags and farming sundries.

I can't walk past a shop without going in cos I love the place (was in the York branch on Saturday) but they are sooo expensive I tend to look for ideas and then try elsewhere.

The restaurant at their Windermere store is fab. So is the one in their Handforth store near Manchester, where I had a lovely meal today . Very reasonable too.
