I think I've read that 80g veg = 1 portion.
I get in lots of veg with my soups. Have to make a fresh batch every week, and freeze some for later in the week. Today for lunch I had pea soup (6), carrot + hummous (2?), and some hm savoury bites (3) with salsa (2). I have impressed myself!:D
Went out for a walk at lunchtime and am on 9k steps so far. Sowill keep moving tonight to get to the super 10k.
I can see lots of £1s going into the pot today!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

evening all, BIG hello to vespa & Irchy mum look forward to reading about your journey's.
Drumroll...please...I finally kicked that last 2LB and threw in another 1LB for good measure.
A 3LB loss saw me at target and slimmer of the week at SW :j :j
Thanks Guys I wouldn't have stuck at it if I wasn't being accountable to myself on here.
I feel a bit guilty because im not very good at actually following the SW diet I swapped things like my HX bread from wholemeal to a seeded mix and the FF yoghurt to Greek as I wanted the extra protein due to training we do, but have been mindful of way I cook foods and the sneaky extras so has balanced out, and I do enjoy the crack during group so worth it just for the friends I have made.
My target was set at 137LBS at my fittest my weight balance out at 130LBS so may have to drop my SW Target a few pounds as im really enjoying the exercise, and eating at a level im happy with..I have cake and not afraid to eat it0 -
Well done tori.k! :T
I have bagged an NSD, 10 veg (more like thirteen!), 10k steps and no sugar. I will put £4 in the pot and wear my smug face!
Yomorrow will be harder ad it is my day off, so will be requesting Will Power to join me...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Thank you for the warm welcome.
I haven't managed much exercise today, unless you count polishing my dad's car. Just waiting for my skipping rope to arrive that I have ordered.
Breakfast- porridge
Dinner- porridge, apple
Tea- chicken chow mein with loads of veg.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
Evening all, back to work and my new fitness regime ,only to arrive for Body Pump 1hr early!!!! Felt a bit of a wally but some ladies convinced me to stay and try Body Combat instead, which in my mind sounded very scary indeed but I stayed, thoroughly enjoyed it and managed to keep up(always a worry) so I shall be doing that again.
Struggling to drink more water, but getting in lots of fruit and salad.
Think I'll keep a weekly inch loss diary as I did measure my body last week, will post tomorrow to see if there are any changes.
Onwards and upwards everyoneJo x:A0 -
Night ladies (& gents?)
Congratulations tori.k that's absolutely brilliant and very inspirational
irchy does your gym do the Les Mills classes for body combat etc? Body combat is my favourite, I'm going tomorrow
Just got to 11500 steps today and resisted snacking this evening, except 2 20 calorie crackers (no cheese or butter too!). Dinner was bolognese mince with veg so got my 3 portions in, making 5 today in total
Hoping I can keep the momentum up this week, might ask Will Power to move into my spare room, although you can borrow him tomorrow apple muncher :rotfl:LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Thanks everyone.
Vesper anything that gets us moving is form of exercise and it's surprisingly fast how a level of fitness can be achieved (and lost) 3 months ago I didn't have the upper body strength to hold my own body weight, now I can triceps dip and push-up with the best of them in my circuit class
Your steps put me to shame Fmess, there is around 2000/2600 (dependant on height) steps in a mile why not converted them and see how long it would take you to walk from Lands end to John O'groats 603 miles
So glad you enjoy the class Irchy mum, I have my first kettle bell class on Wednesday this week have to say im a bit nervous joining in with an already established group, but in for a penny...
Are you Apple Muncher can you post some of your veg recipes please despite being a vegetarian I do tend to opt for fruit over veg for ease and get stuck in a rut for ideas for main meals...my history for main meals tend to be loaded with cheese and quite carb heavy with pasta/rice.
Circuit training for me tonight and day 7 on the Ab& Squat challenge, really starting to feel all them squats.not sure whats going on with food yet will be something easy.
Have a great day everyone0 -
Hi tori - a quick one: hummus + veg sticks. Hummus = tin of pulses (any will do!), couple cloves garlic, lemon juice (or lime). Shove in the zapper with most of the pulses' liquid + zap til as smooth or chunky as you want. I usually add a glug of olive oil too.
Can also add tom puree, paprika, cumin...
As I'm not veggie, I add plenty of animal protein to keep me full, especially eggs. Doyou eat eggs?
Bodyism pancakes: serves 2: 4 eggs, 200g cottage cheese, 100g oats, 1 tsp cinnamon. Zap til smooth + cook in 1/4 cup size batches. Serve with berries. I also add cream- yummy!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Eggs are my go-to..we eat far to many really, the pankcakes sound handsome and bonus got everything in for them too.0
