Well done Stewby. It won't be long before the smaller trousers are comfortable at that rate I was surprised how quickly I have dropped dress sizes.

Welcome irchy and well done on making a start, muscle burns more calories when doing nothing than fat so toning up is a good move.

I didn't eat the curry for supper last night as me and DH decided that pizza at teatime was quite enough. I did have a small packet of crisps and a cadburys creme egg though. Back to normal eating now.

Today I will go for a run for 20 minutes ish. I aim to lose 7lb by the 27th which is my last weigh in day.

    Todays menu

B/F - HM porridge with soya milk and golden syrup, coffee

Lunch - rice and something (not sure about this yet), fruit and yoghurt.

Tea - Belly pork (small portion), mash and veg, fresh pineapple.

Snacks - fruit and zero calorie electrolyte drink (got some free samples so am trying them out).

Enjoy the sunshine if you have it.

Hi can I join you peeps please?

In simple terms I have been having fertility problems and have to face facts that we are not going to have a baby without help. To do that I need to get my BMI down below 30. To do that I need to get down to 76kgs which means I need to lose at least 16kgs at my present weight.

I have already lost about 6kgs since Christmas, aided by a mix of walking and going to two dance classes a week (Zumba and Burlex) and swimming when I can.

I eat pretty healthily anyway as seem to be rather intolerant to processed foods. And the majority of our meals are home made and heavily based on veg and chicken. I am not really that keen on sweet items, so don't tend to eat a lot of chocolate or sweets. However I do have the usual problem, if its there, I will eat it.
In the last couple of weeks I have cut a lot of bread out of my diet, and to have homemade porridge for my dinner instead of sandwiches. But am also pretty terrible at skipping meals too.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Hi vesper, welcome :) Sounds like you've already made a good start on the weight loss and exercise :)

Today has been quite good food wise, except I've only had one fruit so far and no veg. I'm having salad and BBQ meat for tea so will have an extra big portion of salad.

I've done just over 10000 steps do far so should meet 11000 by bedtime :) The weather has been a great help as we've just pottered around the garden this afternoon and I mowed the lawns.

    See you tomorrow

I did join the gym as I managed to get £10 off a month as I work for a school and I qualified for a corporate membership(working for the council).Very MSE :)
Today lunch was BBQ without carbs, just protein and lots of salad. No exercise classes today only dog walking, my new fitness routine will hopefully go like this:

    Mon-body pump
    Tues-LBT
Wed-FitSteps(haven't tried this yet,if anyone can enlighten me?)
    Thur-Zumba followed by Pilates
    Daily 45-1hr dog walk

There is also a pool at the gym so maybe I could go on the weekend.

My targets for June are to go for inch loss and hopefully lose 4 lbs,but I do realise that muscle weighs more than fat,so not going to focus too much on weight loss.I want to feel happy how I look in my clothes/bikini.Eat more fruit and drink more water. Keep up the good work everyone.
Got a feeling I won't be able to move tomorrow after yesterday's Body Pump class!!

Wow that's a fun filled week of classes irchy!

I've just booked on for body combat on Tues, Wed and Sat and body pump on Sun. I have to be fairly flexible with which classes I go to as my OH works shifts and some days we are barely in the house together and awake for an hour :( Next week is nights so I'll go to evening classes when he's already left for work and day classes at the weekend when he's sleeping them off.

Had a healthy tea of one small steak and some chicken kebabs on lots of salad. Then made carrot and courgette fritters for this week's lunches but ate two whilst cooking them. Also had a pancake as OH made them. So not such a healthy evening.

Have had an orange, salad and a carrot today so not quite my 5 a day.

    Oh and 12117 steps :)

Usual gym session this morning but first time ever dd1 came with me. Was longer than normal and had a nice mother daughter time to boot. Managed a 15 min run as well as other cardio and weights.

Was starving on return so big full English for dinner, sw style.
Gorgeous weather today, so also had a frozen muller as a cheeky mid afternoon s snack.

    Hope everyone is well

    Hi everyone,

Got on the scales this morning and I've put weight on. I'm just going to move forward and keep my eyes on the prize (fitting comfortably into my holiday clothes).

    Today:
    Fruit for breakfast
Lemon fishcake and veg for lunch
Feta and red pepper roll with salad for dinner

    + fitness video

irchy_mum - looks like a full week of exercise for you and I think it's great you're focussing on inch loss.

vesper Welcome and well done on your weight loss so far.

    Welcome Vesper.

Today I am going to the gym, walking the dog and going for a bike ride with DH in the evening.

Kids are back at school today so my normal routine will resume.

apple muncher I did 6000 steps from getting up to getting in my car to come home. I reckon my pedometer is too generous so could do with trying another one, might see if someone has one I can borrow and I'll wear two for a day.

I've ate about 900 calories so far today which seems a lot for pre dinner but just having mince and veg so should meet my target.

I'm going to struggle to eat all my fruit and veg again today I think, what do people class as a portion? I had spinach and cucumber salad at lunch but not sure how much cucumber is a portion.

Little exercise today, just a bit of dog walking as I'm off to volunteering tonight but gym booked for tomorrow.
