correct, as can be seen in the flow chart linked in the newbies sticky thread (also in the posts in that thread too)

I'll just keep the images and ticket safe until the invoice appears then :)

Thanks guys for all the help so far.

Well, I was hoping someone at ANPR had seen sense and worked out that i'd actually overpaid the stay and that their ticket machine is inadequate because it can't apply the night night rate within the stay like other machines I've used but their invoice dated 13/06/14 arrived with me today telling me I have £100 or face 3rd party debt collection. Theres no mention of a V.A.T portion even though they have a V.A.T number on the footer of the invoice.

reading through the blurb on the rear of the invoice it says that appeals will only be dealt with in writing using the Business Reply Card. I have no idea what this is.

I intend to use the 1st appeal template as set out in the sticky...... THANK YOU for writing that. But Should I add in to the mix that their machine is dumb for not working out the night rate portion....and that their signage is misleading because it doesn't display a charge or prominent information explaining that the night rate isn't automatically calculated or indeed that it's even possible to pay an amount greater than the day rate of £5 (which is what I paid anyway)

Any advice would be gratefully accepted

    Regards

just use the template letter as these people are too think to understand the maths and wouldnt care anyway as they just want their pound of flesh and wont be interested in your queries

the point here is you are not querying it, you are appealing and saying cancel or popla code (and explain yourself)

signage issues go in the popla appeal , costing them money

    Thanks Redx

I'll get the stage 1 template in the post first thing in the morning by 1st class mail with proof of postage.....or should it be recorded?

Any idea what they mean with the business reply card bit ?

never dealt with them myself , but half of what they tell you is rubbish anyway from what I have read , time he got gunged again , lol

use free certificate of postage , they may refuse recorded delivery

    Just a quickie...

Unless I've missed it, there doesn't appear to be anything in the template letter about issuing a POPLA code. It only sets out a demand for a cancelation letter or a detailed rejection letter.

    correct , as

    1) you should not have to ask for a code , they should provide it and if they dont its a BPA CoP breach

    2) the template letter is the same no matter if the PPC uses Popla or the IAS (in this case its popla , but not always)

they try to entrap the motorist , so why not do the same ?

Just a wee update so I can find the thread again in the coming days.

Template from the thread sent in and awaiting a reply from ANPR no doubt telling me that the appeal for a cancellation has failed.

Anyone know roughly how long it takes them to respond ?.....thats assuming they acknowledge receipt of my letter !

the BPA CoP is 14 days to acknowledge and 35 days to reply
