I have done! Admittedly not heard from them yet and it's been a couple of weeks. I just know that if we get court papers (and now the bpa see this as an 'ok fight') it will be a step too far at the moment. Especially as it wont even be me that is fighting it.
Can I ask, how long normally do they keep going before court proceedings. I mean, is this way too early for all that? Or not. And I realise you said g24 haven't gone to court yet. If this was my pcn and if this was a different time, I would be definitely up for the fight!

At this precise moment I'm ready to pay them to get rid
Don't be a victim. What exactly do you think we all did BEFORE POPLA existed? That's right, the informed advice (on Watchdog as well) was to IGNORE the debt collector threatograms and everyone laughed at them for YEARS.

You missed POPLA. So what? I collected debt collector letters and so did thousands of posters here in the past decade and the sky didn't fall in, Nothing happened.

G24 don't do Court proceedings...they do letters. So what?! Collect them then, they will match mine!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well, I didn't pay! I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I hadn't heard from anyone about it until yesterday. DRP+ have advised they are gping to recommend court action.

Am I right in thinking that G24 have to send a final notice of intention to go to court before sending court papers? The court papers arent going to just turn up are they? I think it will send my husband over the edge! He has been reluctantly letting me take care of this.

Huge thanks in advance. You've been so helpful so far. I would have caved for sure!

Good for you for holding on to your hard earned and not falling for the scare tactics :)

All you have received is another scare tactic letter and all you have to do is not fall for it again ;)

So file it with the others and forget it.

IF (notice it's a very big IF) G24 did decide to take you to court I don't really know whether they would send a Final Notice first.

"Why don't you know?" I hear you ask.

    Well it's because ............ We've never seen G24 do court :D

So just keep your nerve and all letters will eventually stop

    Eeeeek!
Thank you! I was kind of hoping there would be a back out plan though. Do we know for sure that G24 haven't done court? Is that just from posts on here?

    Sorry. I know I'm a stress head!

Yes we know for sure. FOI requests to the court service. G24 are softies. Scum nonetheless, but softies.

Look at these 2 documents. Not a G24 in sight.

To be scrupulously fair to you, they do have up to 6 years to take you to court in, but I think it highly unlikely they will start on court cases with someone up for a fight if they ever should do. They will go for those who roll over and ask how much money they would like!
