Just wanted to update Week 2, Day 2 complete, looking forward to starting week 3 as it looks a bit harder.
Think it's taken me 3 weeks to do 2 weeks cause of time but I'm getting their...I've done day 1 and 2 back to back and I'm feeling really tired today so not sure if that's why. Will try and get day 3 done on Friday.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
I'm sure everyone else knows about this but I only recently discovered what the extra lace-hole in my running shoes are for and it makes such a difference!

Well, what a difference the weather can make. It's much cooler here and was just starting to rain when I went out for my run this morning. I've been struggling to get to 3k in the heat so wasn't hopeful of getting past that today. 38 minutes and 23 seconds later I'd run 5k. I'm sure that I had a stupid grin on my face for the last km too - people running/walking towards me must have thought I was mad!0

Brilliant stuff. i had a PB in the drizzle too - 9k in 58 minutes. It's perfect running weather though annoying for the rest of the time0

Some great running from everyone, keep up the great work
I'm still training for my first half marathon in a couple of months so I've been increasing my distance running slowly. On Monday morning I ran 17.1km, the furthest I've ever ran. It was ok to be fair, the last km or 2 was a tad slow but generally my pace per km was similar to that of shorter distance like 12/13 km runs so I was very happy. I'm running in the Regent's Park 10k this weekend, anyone else doing it?0 -
All still doing well I see
I had a week off parkrun last weekend, I had a cough and also a sore ankle. I had crouched and must have strained something and couldn't bend it properly. Thankfully pain was away a few days later.
I managed a 3k on Wednesday and another on Thursday. Slowly though, as my breathing still wasn't great. Parkrun yesterday was over 35 mins, bit disappointing but still didn't feel 100%.
Now, temptation, there's a local running club doing a race on Tuesday night, it's a 10k on a flat course. Decisions decisions....0 -
Hi, another newbie here. Just started couch to 5k tonight, and found it OK, tough enough but definitely doable. So week 1 day 2 on Wednesday!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0

Hi all, doing the Great North Run for the 2nd time, here is hoping I beat my target. Injuries do knock you for six a few times when you feel like a good run and then you can go as fast as you would like for various injuries.0

All gone a bit quiet on here, hope you are all still doing well.
I've still been doing parkrun every week plus a short run or two through the week. Having bother with my knees though, plus heading away on holiday soon as well so not sure how I'll be doing soon!! I'm taking a running outfit with me though, so who knows I might just get a few runs in. They might have to be on a treadmill though.0 -
Still running but still having trouble with the heat so haven't done 5k for a while. I may do parkrun on Saturday. I need to get a 5k under my belt before we go away on 6th Sept as we did sign up for the 5k in Vegas. I think I may have to have an ice bath before that to keep me cool!0
