    Evening all.

Just seen this thread. Congratulations to all that are training really hard.

Can I ask a question please. I've always enjoyed running but over the last few years I end up with a niggling pain in my left calf when I am running and later on that day, when I am in bed. Has anyone ever had pain like this? It's always just in the left calf and never the right. I would love to get into running properly again. I even went and bought myself some super posh Adidas running shoes that cost me £150. I was told at that store that it would help with the pain. He made me get on some fancy treadmill which recorded how I ran etc etc. It made no difference though. Also, would going to a physiotherapist help at all? They have an offer at my gym for half price sports massages but I don't know whether that would be a good thing or not, it sounds bloody scary!

    Thanks.

On topic but a bit random but do any of you have really long hair?

Mine pulls unless I put it in a tight bun and then it hurts my head..

    Any suggestions?

have you tried lose 2 plaits? (one on each side of head stylie)
    might be worth a go?

might be worth getting a foam roller and seeing if that helps

  • Aww, Friends...

    ....football friends....

donglemouse, I'll add you if you don't mind. Never really used to social side of it. I'm sure there are more popular sources (strava etc), but never really explored it.

Can't help with the hair issue either. Grade 2 all over for me.

Thanks graspandsave will definitely try that :)

I'd go physio, just to be on the safe side, mimi1234, I've had niggly pain since school over ten years ago and only just been to physio about it, exercises really helping but also found I need a minor op on my toes

  • donglemouse. Not sure if you got my PM reply. I sent twice but it's not showing in my sent items. I've got you on Garmin connect, but your data isn't showing as I think you have it set to private.

Look forward to seeing you on there!

The Garmin site's been a bit temperamental these last few days. Might be more site problems.

Regarding the hair question, I mostly just put it in a ponytail, but a plait keeps me cooler. I'm just too lazy and bad at doing hairstyles to bother with a plait most of the time. I can't get a bun to stay up reliably enough.

A record mileage week for me this week; 39 and a bit. Wish I'd run a little bit further now and made it 40. Next week is meant to be easier.
