Hi SW
Well I'm not sure on the first point - I had upped some of my things such as petrol and housekeeping but this was in line with the price rises recently - e.g. an extra £5 per week for housekeeping and an extra £5 per week for petrol - not extortionate amounts! They also seem to have disallowed certain things from my original SOA - such as tv/internet access and my original SOA was £200 for shopping and she said only £160 is allowed!
I am going to wait until I get the paperwork and then go through it all - the other thing I forgot to mention to them (cos I was trying not to cry lol) is that my tax - which goes now to Clarke Willmot - is incorrect. Basically they started taking £193 when I was declared bankrupt - I have had 2 payrises since and they are still not taking anymore tax from me - so come the end of April when the tax once again is collected by the inland revenue that is going to be higher. I have rung Clarke Willmot about this and they have told me not to worry about it????
I'll keep you posted.
I really do not understand how the OR work allowances out, surely if something has already been agreed, take for instance your previous figure for housekeeping of £200, if this had been agreed initially when you first BR, how can they , later on down the line, reduce it.....does it totally depend on what surplus monies are left, I mean, did he/she allow the £200 because you had NO surplus and letting you have that amount to include extras, like I dont know - emergencies for instance, and now that you do have monies over, they want to take it back, add it to your surplus now and impose an IPA knowing that you will still have a surplus left ,still to fund any emergencies?
I really have a hard time trying to get my head around this BR business, maybe I should try and not second guess what is going to happen, but I can't help it
Im really worried now, lol, and although the saying goes, NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS, Im afraid , when it comes to BR and OR's its just that they are probably all so snowed under with work, they just havent gotten around to 'our' case yet ......cant wait until this is all over roll on september..........or even better but doubtfull ED

It's been over 2 weeks and I've heard nothing.......not sure whether this is normal but either way I'm not ringing them to find out!
I've had a few bills that have gone up recently which will help my case of not getting an IPA - I think I'm right in saying that because they want to put an IPA of £50 in place that there is (in their eyes) a £100 surplus.
Well not anymore!
I've had my rent through - an extra £10 per month. Council tax is a couple of extra pounds. Water has gone up by almost ten pounds as well. Along with the extra tax that I will be paying (as Clarke Willmott haven't taken my 2 payrises this year into account and adjusted the figure) I don't think my surplus will be high enough now for them to put an IPA in place.
Who'd have thought that bills going up might ever be a good thing ay!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

I think I spoke to soon on the above post - the day after I received confirmation of the IPA stating that I am to pay £50 per month to Clarke Willmott and that they would be in touch.
However, I've just rung the insolvency service to tell them about my rent/council tax/water etc going up and also mentioned about my tax as well. Spoke to a very nice woman there, the last woman who was dealing with my case was awful - very matter of fact and harsh I thought. New lady was nice and said not to worry, she would send me out a new questionnaire and that I should send it back asap to her along with anything to back up what I'm saying - e.g. copies of my council tax bill and letter informing me of rise in rent/water etc.
So thats next to do. It seemed like there was a quiet bit a few months ago until recently but now the form filling has started again. When I receive the letter I will post another SOA here for you guys and gals to have a look at if you don't mind!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

I've received my new IPOQ and I've made a booboo - I didn't keep a copy of my last one. Still this is what I'm going to put on my new one.
Incomings
1358
Outgoings
Rent 250
Council tax 60
House Insurance 6
Gas 40
Electricity 50
Water 34
TV Licence 12
Phone 40
Road tax/MOT 20
Car Insurance 46
Petrol 140
Car Maintenance 30
Housekeeping 220
Cat litter/food 20
Clothing/footwear 50
Dental/Prescriptions/Optical 20
Per Insurance 18
Hairdressing 15
Net/TV 36
Holiday 25
Household emergency 25
Clarke Willmott 192
Surplus £9
Now last time I submitted by SOA they told me that this much would not be allowed for housekeeping but if they say this again I will tell them that £200 was allowed when I went BR and the price of things have gone up, not down. Same with hairdressing, they told me £10 was allowed but £15 was allowed on my original SOA. I'm going to fight my corner this time - last time I wasn't prepared for what happened with them slapping an IPA on but this time I'm going to try to be more assertive when/if they call.
Does everyone think my SOA looks ok?Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
After a brief glance the only thing I can see is what you've pointed out already. The standard allowance for housekeeping for a single person is about £160 so you did very well to get £200, it goes to show if you are a bit ballsy sometimes you can get more. It will be interesting what they say about the hairdressing as well. Good luck.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

The figure for housekeeping that Tigerfeet mentions seems to be roughly right based on experiences here and elsewhere. But it's also going to vary from place to place, as costs of living are different notwithstanding recent increases.
But by the look of that SOA, even then they would struggle to get the surplus too near £100.
