Just a thought.... Our cat must be a hefty 5kg plus and she has a habit to come to the bed and lay on top of you - it does not matter which way you are lying. I'm in the no camp. Love my dog dearly but not enough to share my bed with him. I like my bed to feel/smell clean. He's not allowed upstairs at all, he sleeps in his own bed in the kitchen.
