I'm with Catkins here. When my husband was alive our dog would sleep in our bedroom and the snoring, farting (both of them) and licking of nuts (just the dog! ) used to wake me up all the time. I eventually moved into the spare room for some peace!
The cats had the choice of their own bedroom or all of downstairs.

My current dog sleeps in the kitchen. I love her to bits but don't want her in my bed!

  • No way, she's too big, but also I learned the hard way as old dog ended up on our bed and we never got any sleep in the end! She does have her bed next to ours however.

I'm tempted to get my OH to move into the spare room - more room for the cat and me then! :)

One dog has own crate in bedroom the other has a 2 seater couch, Crate dog sometimes gets on the bed for a while in the morning. but he's a non shedding Greyhound so no hairs to worry about.

No, she sleeps in her bed at the bottom of my bed but is allowed up for a cuddle in the morning sometimes. Same goes for my little Schnauzer when she comes for a sleepover.

  • Kittens all 3 of them sleep in various spaces. Big kitten on my pillow, middle kitten usually to the right of Dad's legs. Baby kitten (aged 6) down the duvet between us both. If anybody wishes to borrow Isobel (baby kitten) as form of contraception you are most welcome!

Oh there is nothing better than a gorgeous furry girl snuggled next to her mummy and purring like a good 'un. She is the smallest in the house but somehow always ends up with the most bed.....clever girl that she is!
