Both our cats come in when we have resident guests staying but usually they are locked out the bedroom, unless we're feeling a bit tearful, then they will be in.
They are chucked out 4am as that is when ours get fairly active.
They stay at the bottom of their bed.0 -
My hound comes for a morning cuddle- woe betide me if I try to wake her too early! And 'no thank you' I do not want to come on the bed at bedtime....don't disturb me!!
My old boy (sadly deceased in March) used to get on the bed at first light..which in summer was in the early hours!!.... in the end he learned that the 7am alarm call was the signal for him to jump up... and in!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

We've got 9 cats but the most we've had on the bed at the same time is 5, I think. Every once in a while I shut them all out, decant the husband to the back bedroom, and have the bed to myself, but the cats howl and scratch the carpet on the landing so I have to be really exhausted to sleep through it."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Two out of our three cats like sleeping with us. One likes to make a little nest between me and the outside of the bed and he's no trouble, I hardly know he's there. The young one though leaps off the wardrobe onto OH, rebounds onto me, runs around on top of us squeaking (he does not meow, he squeaks) until I give up and put an arm out under the duvet and then he wedges himself into the crook of my neck, purring loudly into my skull. He's very plushy though so nice to cuddle for a bit. Then...he gets bored and bounces off again.
Our old cat used to sleep across the pillows. If he was feeling in a good mood he'd lick OH's head on the bald spot. He dribbled too (the cat, not OH) when he purred. I was rather pleased he preferred OH's pillow.
The other cat sleeps on top of the wardrobe. He's my favourite at 3am.Val.0 -
Not currently, we wanted Shadow to be settled on her own at night and often have our youngest child tumbling in at odd hours as well, plus a labrador pup jackanaping about on your head is only funny for the first five minutes.
However, my husband works a week of lates, week of earlies and when he's on late shift, I'm often asleep on the settee with shadow when he comes in at midnight as I think it would unsettle her - me turning off the lights and locking up for the night and then my husband coming in and switching everything all on again and revving her back up. I've been wondering would she even creep up with me at around 10pm and just lie quietly with me on the bed with the bedroom telly on low or while I read until my husband comes in as she's asleep on the settee with me anyway but I can see what would really happen - she'd want to say hello to sleeping offspring, I would be loudly whispering 'SHADOW, leave that slipper alone' and it would be an exercise in futility!Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

Yes
two kitties.
I couldn't bare to not have them snuggle up to me!
Partner insists on kicking them out and shutting the bedroom door, ahem, and at first they spent the whole time crying and scratching at the door but now they don't bother us at allHarriet, the female one, goes bonkers when the door opens again, won't leave either of us alone!
Very cute.I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.

My 4 cats Angel, Susie, Pepsi and Tango seem to have some sort of rotational system going for whose bed they sleep on!!!! They take it in turns between themselves to honour me with their presence. Susie and Pepsi are the ones I've most often found myself sharing a bed with though with Susie on my pillow and Pepsi in the middle of the bed on her back with her legs and arms in the air. Angel seems to prefer DD1's bed while on the nights she's not on my bed Susie can usually be found sleeping with DS or with DD2. Pepsi if she chooses not to sleep with me is usually with DD2 but likes to wake me up by banging loudly on my bedroom door at 4am in the morning whilst Tango sits outside and serenades me with the song of his people before actually getting on the bed and trying to crawl under the duvet and then sleeping on my head!!!! I also woke up at 3am one morning to discover a strange cat in my bedroom and have no idea how it got there!!!!loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0

My dogs go on the beds while we're out or if they fancy a kip during the day, with our full blessing.
I know they're clean and flea free so don't see a problem.0 -
Not overnight, but as soon as our puppy wakes up in the morning she likes to snuggle under the nice warm duvet with my parents.0

I have two cats, they are allowed on the bed if they want. Sometimes there is one, sometimes two, sometimes none.0
