I bet there is lots of cards being declined as it is january. Thank god my risk of that is over, it never happened but i would hate to have my card declined. I really feel for my best friend, i know she doesnt manage money well and prob has lots of debts. I told her about this site for money saving, i really hope she isnt getting into more debt. I have made a mortgage payment for her in the past.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

I know. you just want to tell everyone to stop being silly and do it Martin's way. I have had cards declined in the past and you just want the ground to open and swallow you. I do worry sometimes about others as you can usually get a feeling if someone is in debt or not. I keep telling people about this site but selfishly because I do not want my friends/family knowing what debt I have. Stupid I know but I have always seemed to manage really well and I would be embarrassed for them to know that I haven't managed quite so well. Pride huh!!5 Year plan. Hi guys. Back again, with just the remnants of the cold left (it's still there, but it's started to solidify_pale_ , which has it's own problems, but because I didn't get out of bed until 3.30pm yesterday due to massive headache I've spent absolutely no cash this weekend:j ). Hopefully everybody else is well?
lol at Tif - I should have known that no banking institution would have such a good deal:rotfl:
I've never had a card declined but I did get declined for a store card once and that was mortifying enough:o
My sainsbury's card statement has come through, and despite my last-ditch emergency payment being credited 7 days before my statement date, I still got charged £12.80 interest - for 60p:mad: . Good evening. I hope everyone is well. I have spent £1 today :j . That pays for DS's breakfast for all week. We all took packed lunches but as it turned out I came home before lunchtime as I have yet another chest infection  . Thats 4 lots of antibiotics in 6 months. Going for an x-ray tomorrow so at least we will see what is going on. Appointment was 12.30 so my boss just told me to stay at home. I managed to get loads of washing and ironing done. The ironing is all away. I got deccys up into the loft at last. The place is still like a pigsty but at least a few of the horrible obs are done. Joiner has just called me to say he will be doing my worktops on Friday so that means I need to pack up my kitchen. I wish there was 2 of me.
At least after the work is done and paid for I will be able to get the cash together for the flooring then get my !!! in gear and pay off my debt again. I was so determined to get under 40k this month but no chance now I dont think. I have a loan repayment of £160 to come out yet but still leaves over £100 to find.
I booked a SUN holiday for me, my mum and the kids for July. It is in Pontins so should be good fun. Was £60 for the four of us and I put it on my card but will pay it off ASAP. Ho hum, ever feel like you are standing still ?5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

wow £60 for 4 - that's great! In fact that's cheaper than camping for a week with one tent. Although I guess I would rather eat my feet than go to Pontins, but I think that's something to do with kids, and not having any (except for OH that is:p ).
You know things are getting tight when you've finally used the last tin of chopped tomatoes:rotfl: . Looks like I'm going to have to go shopping tomorrow, unless I can eek out a meal of egg and chips (lovely, healthy diet). Ohh, better go before it burns and I ruin another meal - yesterday's chicken pie got microwaved and cooked for a total of nearly 2 hours after I messed that up:o x1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -
Eeew Remind me never to come for tea at yours. We had pork chops, turnip, mushrooms and tats. Was yummy. Still eating nice and healthily so am very happy about that.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Oooh I miss mushrooms. OH has a pathalogical hatred of them so I don't buy them any more. Fried mushroom and cheese slice sandwiches is a particular favourite, but not very healthy so it's probably a good job I don't get to eat them anymore.
In the end I was quite pleased with tea, pasta and garlic sausage with homemade sauce made with the - obligatory - chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, red onion, garlic and seasoning. Was delish and has to be healthier than dolmio's:D . I can't remember the last time we bought any readymade sauces, that must make me a better cook than my mum!1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -

That sandwich sounds absolutely minging . Dinner sounded pretty good though. I still have 3 tins of toms in the cupboard and as I said before we dont even like them.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

lol - no it's something you have to try to appreciate - honest:rotfl: . Dinner was fabby, but tomatoes (esp tomato sauce _pale_ - you should have seen me when my friend accidentally squirted some on my arm, you would have thought it was acid:o ) are something I have a pathalogical hatred of, I have to cook it far longer than necessary so they break down and there's no tomato-y lumps left in it. I will eat heinz tomato soup but have to make sure I don't get a whiff of it whilst I'm pouring it into the pan, otherwise I'm retching like a cat with a furball problem. Probably safe to say my food issues are why I was severely underweight as a child, unfortunately that didn't last:rolleyes:1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0
