Good evening. What a cr*p day at work. Didnt actually do any work but 3 people in the office's mothers died over the hols, one girls dad died and 2 sisters who work there had their brother drop dead. Another had an aunty die, my friends boy is in hospital ( suspected meningitis but phew its not) and another good friends parents house went on fire yeserday and is really badly smoke damaged. They are in their eighties poor souls. My shindig I was going to tonight is cancelled and probably just as well as I am emotionally whacked.
Paid off DS's bed from Argos. Feels really great to have done that as that is the first time I have ever managed to pay off a 0% deal before interest gets put on. Paid minimum off Halifax CC also. Looks like I will dawdle the under 40k by the end of February as my car didnt have quite as much outstanding as I originally estimated. Feels fab to be back on the straight and narrow money wise. I wonder what I will be typing on here next year at this time. I so so so so hope it is that I have achieved under 30k. Pipe dream perhaps but I will have a go at it.

Happy 2008 everyone. I hope you all had a nice time last night. We certainly did. My lovely neighbours came in and the kids stayed up and played whilst we blethered and had a wee toast to the bells. They went home at 2.30am so I am a bit knackered today but it was fun. Taking a big steak pie to my mums for dinner and then a chill out evening.
Good start to the debt busting. £104 on its way from Quidco so that will go straight off of the Sony card as soon as it reaches my account. Done all my clicks as been a bit remiss with them recently. Not starting the diet until Monday as there is no way I will stick to it before then. I want to lose loads of weight but am going to start with a target of 50 lbs which will make a huge dent in it and is achievable. Going to look at it as pounds the same as money and see how I get on. Will update siggy and that means I have to do it:eek: .

Hi MIT, happy new year. well done on the no spend day, i managed one too. did you go near the scales? i ventured on this morning no too bad considering its been christmas but still i have lots of work to do!
well done on paying the argos before they lumped interest on, cant wait to see you under 40k at the end of jan.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
No never went near the scales mate. Not even thinking about it until Sunday night and then I will go for it. Too much on the next few days to even consider healthy eating. I have decided I am not going to diet as such. I am going to try and stick to 3 meals per day but if I am hungry I will fill up on fruit and yoghurts. I will try and stay off sweets, crisps, cakes etc except on special occasions and not going to beat myself up too much as I think that is where I have gone wrong in the past. I always try and stick to a mega strict diet and then get really stressed if I break it but I am going to try and change my thinking about eating and look at it as busting the pounds gradually instead. Makes sense to me lol.
Was at a wee shindig at my brothers tonight and it was good fun. It is really nice to get into different company sometimes. I restrict myself to a bottle of wine these days as I know if I go much over that then I get drunk and I die the next day and I just cant be bothered with that. Just got £146.30 through as work expenses so I have paid it straight off of Sony. Only £388 to go
. I am really hoping to manage that by the end of the month. I havent had proper maintenance for the last couple of weeks due to the delay in banks transferring money. I am hoping to just pay that straight to the card as I havent needed it. There is actually £31 there just now so I will transfer that when I am finished this. I am going to have a reccy in the freezer and cupboards and see if I can do a meal plan for the next 2 weeks. I am sure there will be enough food there for at least that. Will make a list of what I need for packed lunches etc and get to the supermarket at the weekend. I might just go to ALDI as their fruit and veg is much nicer than ASDA and the healthy eating plan begins on Monday  . I actually weighed myself this morning and I am sure my scales are broken :rotfl: . I cant possibly have put on that much weight   . My clothes seem to be agreeing with the scales though
. Back to work tomorrow and life will get back to some sort of normality whatever that is. xx
