My road to being a millionaire - I wish

Hi MiT, glad to see the "real" signature! I know that when I did mine the other week it was horrid for a few mins, but then actually a relief to know what I was really dealing with, in the knowledge that as that amount goes down, it is really and truly going down......for ever!!
Good luck, I am aiming to be below £60k at the end of January, - the idea of doing little chunks throughout the year has got to be a good one!

Good Morning.....oops afternoon. I am acting like someone who is all organised
. Paperwork is more or less up to date ( took me hours the last couple of days) I have closed my ISA account so should get about a tenner from there. I haven't used it for 6 years so it is better closed. I have also cancelled my RAC membership as I got free Green Flag with my car insurance. I still had 6 months on RAC membership and the girl on the phone told me I was not due a rebate. Yeah right......... I got one lol so £30 winging its way to me for that. I always act all organised for the first few weeks of every year as I make all these daft resolutions but then I return to being disorganised but at least once a year house is up to date/ washing, ironing is up to date and paperwork is up to date :rotfl: . Going to pay the bed off of Argos account so no interest goes on. I will do that today and also pay Halifax CC. That should help the balances a wee bit.
Thanks for the good luck wishes and Hypno you are right it does feel better to have faced it fully and doodle you are damned right it will NEVER be that high again. xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Not too bad a day spending wise. Not much choice tbh as am now officially potless. Spent £16 in butchers but will make a nice big dinner on New Years day and will also make 3 loads of mince for bolognese. So 4 quality meals. Spent £16.32 in ASDA but was mostly juice and a hair dye. I was horrified when I saw the pics from Christmas as I was soooooooooo grey around my temples. Not now though
.Can't wait until I can attend the hairdressers and get them to do my colour for me but hey that'll be a few years yet.
I am dying to get paid so I start getting this total down .
My DD just asked me what my new year resolutions are and I said I wanted to reduce my debt by £10k this year and also lose weight. I told her I had one other though which is to start taking pride in myself ie. not just running a brush through my hair and running, not leaving it for months to do eyebrows etc etc. There is a long list. None of it will cost me much, if anything ,so I am looking forward to doing that also. What is everyone else doing?
btw DD wants to stop wasting money and save hard this year for her trip to France and to buy herself a laptop. Moneysaving must be rubbing off lol. Just need to get DS on board now5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

i have quite a few new year's resolutions.
lose the christmas weight I have put on (not updating my sig to show what i've put on!!)
take lunch to work every day (did this for months last year and it made a mile of difference to the debt).
do more exercise (cut down on the bus fares and boyf's petrol too)
not to buy any more make up (went through my drawers today doing a clear out and there is tons, plus the stuff i got for christmas and i only wear it rarely cos of sensitive skin)
not to buy any more socks. i have a drawer full of these.
not to buy any work clothes until easter and if i do they have to be less than £10 for trousers. i know that my work pants are hanging off my baggy !!!! (or they were till i put on the chrimbo weight) but i'm going to make do and mend.
to use up my storecupboard stuff rather than stockpiling (i currently appear to be planning for some kind of chopped tomato shortage).
stick to my new budget to save up for the wedding (i'm making it tough for myself but i'm blooming determined not to fail). planning on trying to live on £89 per month (thats after all bills, debts and money towards wedding has gone out). the £89 includes any change that has to be put away for the sealed pot challenge - I am aiming for £400 by August 1st. it also includes my friday night drink (to prevent me staying out too late), together with any travel costs for uni. going to also avoid buying a coffee and food at uni cos i've worked out thats about £100 a year.
thats an awful lot of resolutions!0 -
