Congratulations MIT, Santa obviously thinks you've been a good girl this year:j . I'm too scared to properly keen track of what I've been spending this month but I'm estimating I'm around £400 overspent. Hey-ho easy-come easy-go, it'll get paid off in Jan. Fortunately right now I feel that if I ever see the inside of another shop it will be too soon, so I doubt I'll be spending any more (famous last words I'm sure :o )

TOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!

I thought I was organised but its all going Pete Tong!

Several packages ordered off tinternet haven't turned up so I'm going to have to buy them at higher prices in the shops - if I can find them!
Then when they do turn up I'll have to take them back to the shops I bought the replacements from (mental note - keep the receipts!)
I have been really bad this year, I have re-gifted so much stuff! I've given one of my birthday presents as a secret santa and my secret santa gift is going to be someone's christmas present.
Got thank you presents from clients at work and they are all going to be christmas presents for people!
I'm keeping the costs down at least. I secretly love regifting!

I just wonder what would boyf do without me? He has bought nowt as usual and I have stuck to my spreadsheet budget, buying for our friends, his family, my family, his godchildren.
Thing is, last year I did my spreadsheet and was religious in keeping to it, then on Christmas eve he went out and spent £50 in Thorntons cos my gifts "didn't look like much"!!!!! Course not, its cos we're skint you daft apeth!

Ah, listen to the dolphins Tif, chill! Hopefully he is going to restrain himself this year!

Had a similar problem when I got an email telling me that some of the stuff I'd ordered was out of stock and would be sent as soon as possible - but rather unhelpfully not given me an anticipated delivery date. Ended up buying duplicates of some things, and then the parcel arrived, but typically there were people I'd forgotten about so the duplicates ended up going to them!

I reckon my present from the OH must be huge because he's just told me he's skint, but I've only seen him spend £20 on pressies for people so far - oh, and £60 on a bag for himself. Hmmm.

  • Poor you two. I have had no mishaps as I did most of my online shopping weeks ago. Been caught before so made sure I was more organised this year. Smartass huh ? :rotfl: .
I haven't left the house yet today. Was cleaning and doing loads of washing. Place is relatively tidy now though. Got a home delivery from ASDA so more or less organised food wise. I keep looking in the cupboards and thinking I won't need to buy anything for eating in January but whats the betting I am in ASDA next week for totally essential items!!
I want to be absolutely sorted by tomorrow night so that on Monday we can go to the pics or something rather than running about like headless chickens. Going to a friends tonight though for drinkies so no more will be achieved today.
I love Christmas and am getting soooo excited :j :j . OK am away to the chippy now to pick up my pizza supper :o . Might get the jaws wired in January as one of my challenges. xx

  • Hi all. I'm a bit sqiffy. Ok then I am really quite !!!!ed  . Had a really nice night with my friend. The kids had a great time together and er and I sat ploughing our way through a couple bottles of wine and putting the worldto rights:D . Girly night. Ye canny whack it !! Been mates for 32 years and hardly ever get a chance for a right good giggle so was grand. I am quite tired but not yet ready for sleeping. A wee drink of water and a slice of madeira cake are called for methinks. I love love love this time of year. Sorry I know some folks hate it - and sometimes I get a bit peed off cos I am on my own with two kids but mostly I am thankful for thr good things in my life. XX BIG KISSES hehehe

  • Sore head !! I definately need more practice at this drinking palaver. Had a grand night though. I have been out for a lovely lunch with my mum today and again got myself mixed up with someone who has money and found myself paying the bill  . Oh well better hung for a sheep as a lamb BUT I am thinking that that is the attitude that got me in this mess in the first place:o . It all stops after tomorrow. Taking the kids to the pics tomorrow to try and keep them under control. Will make my chocolate fudge cake tomorrow too and a pot of soup. I pretty much have the meal under control. Going to pop into ASDA tonight for a couple of things I need but it wont be much as I am skinto :(
