£12 on an air freshener

But £10 on the lottery - at least that offsets some of the bits and pieces you bought today. Also, good news that the CC hasn't been used yet - I hope that continues!

airfresheners - my OH has the same problem. I can't work out why he's willing to pay £6 for an air freshener, yet only wants to spend 54p on mouthwash?

Hiya Everyone, sorry not been around, was working the late shift last week, then had family round for two days as it was my Birthday wednesday.
Got £80 Birthday money and a £15 WHS voucher and a £10 voucher for where I work, so gonna treat myself for a change.

Been to a 70th Birthday do tonight and left all the over 70's still dancing the night away, I can't keep up with them.
Gotta go to work tomorrow , and I bet it will be chaos as work in a large mil type store, wow my lettering has changed and I don;t know how I've done it.

Doing ok on Ebay, everybody seems to want an evening bag for their xmas party, so very pleased.
Got a bit of tax back, so might try and pay more on credit cards.

    xx
  • Hey Binnie. Nice to hear from you. Happy Birthday :bdaycake:

Had a fab day at the science centre but we are all knackered now. There was an online voucher for a free chid and my printer wouldn't work. I of course asked if I could still get the discount but was told no. Luckily the wee girl on the desk used another voucher thing and I got £1 off each entry. Spent £38 :j . Am pleased with that as I had budgeted £50. I had taken lunch, juice, sweets etc with me so resisted the cafe. I just refused point blank to buy anything rom the shop as it is all cr*p and I had spent quite enough although I did buy them popcorn or icecream for the pics. Made them choose though and would normally have got them popcorn, juice , ice cream etc etc.
Gave my mum the tenner I won on the lottery to put towards petrol etc for taking DD to orthodontist tomorrow. Was nice to be able to do that. DS is dead excited about his birthday tomorrow. Arent they just so much fun at that age. Everything is exciting as far as they are concerned. I wish my life had a quarter of the excitement. Good day all in all. Thoroughly enjoyed and didn't break the bank:D .

Happy Birthday to your son for tomorrow MIT. My mum bought me a massive load of chocolate cake from M&S all cut up into squares, my husband has ate most of it as he's a chocoholic.

Work was hectic today, but the day went quick as it was so busy.
Got myself a bargain, bought a 15 Tog Duvet (Kingsize) reduced from £50 to £17.99 including my staff discount, and also a Radley Mirror in a case for £11 reduced from £22. That's a pressie sorted for my sister in law.
I can't wait to snuggle up in my new duvet, my old one was absolutely worn out really, so well chuffed with my new purchase.

Got a massive chicken dinner at the works canteen today with all veg, potatoes etc for £2.00, filled me up for the day.

All in all, did quite well, didn't spend too much.
    xx
  • Just wrapped DS's pressies. House is like an absolute piggery lol but I am knackered and only moving when it is essential tonight. Going to veg out on here and have a catch up. Well done on your bargains Binnie.

  • Well what a satisfying day in some ways. DS's 10th birthday and I am best mum ever cos I got him a DS lite and he is one happy boy. He asked this morning if he was in a dream lol. Told me tonight he was really glad he had got it as he wouldn't need to gaze in the window of GAME any more as he now owned one. Everyone say awww!! :rotfl: . You'd think he had nothing. He told me before bed 'thank you mum for a perfect day' . I even managed to be nice to my ex when he was here and gave him a cuppa and cake. Back to my own job today and suddenly realised I have learnt nothing during my training lol.
Spent a wee bit today and will have to come off food budget which is dwindling fast. We all had lunch money which came to £8.50  . Then took DS to McD's for dinner and that was another £8. Damn !!! I dont even like McD's that much and am always hungry all night. So £16.50 in one day on sh*tty grub. Jeez. Never mind it all went towards my son's perfect day so was worth every penny. No other spends thankfully. Take care xx
