Well hey if you are still seeing your man I can think of a few things for no cost
. Good exercise too :rotfl: .
I am so peed off at myself. I have been scared to check my Barclaycard and quite rightly so obviously I have put just over £900 on it. I am   .
One step forward and 50 back lol. I got my back money and have just under £500 clear extra. My bill this month is £277 so I will pay that off. Was going to use the rest towards it but no interest on it yet so I might just pay it off another card. Oh I dont know what to do to be honest. I might pay it off my car as it is the highest interest at the mo and it will be going on my signature properly after the new year. Or I might just buy vinyl for my kitchen. I still havent made my list for what I still need for Christmas. I think I am scared to incase it is worse than I think. Jeez stress stress stress lol

If you are only buying the vinyl as a make do and mend then why don't you wait a while until you can afford what you want or go and have a root around in one of the skips out the back of the carpet shops?
We got enough carpet to do our hall stairs and landing from a skip and it was new! (DH was not impressed when I told him where it had come from though!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Wow, I'm away for a couple of days and everything happens! So pleased for you about the scan results, even though migraines aren't pleasant.
I'm with Kaz, hold off getting the flooring for a little while until you can afford what you really want - mind you, I would say that, my parents had concrete as their kitchen floor for about 15 years before finally getting it tiled!1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -
Lol my DD suggested painting it. Am just going to get vinyl as floor area is really big and no way am I going to afford anything posh for years so I will be satisfied with vinyl. It will look fine and be nice and clean. I really really need a new kitchen but will make do with my makeover. I might post a wee pic when it is done and see what you all think.
Payday tomorrow yay!!:j . This is the first month where I have had separate bank accounts for weekly and monthly money and I actually had £11.01 left in my monthly account lol. Thats a first.!! I paid it off of my Barclaycard. I have set myself a mini challenge to not pay any interest on my Barclaycard so I need to pay the £277 this month and pay off the rest by the end of December. I also have to pay money to Argos on 12th Jan so that I dont pay them interest. I have £95 coming from Quidco so that will help. I put another £50 on my card today though. So by the end of December I need to get £600 together. I will then do my new year signature and go for reducing reducing reducing the debt. I am going to get rid of the smaller ones first. That will be the 2 overdrafts. One is on 0% so I will get rid of that ASAP before the interest hits it and then the other one. Hopefully get rid of those by end of February. I am sure everyone is the same as myself and making loads of plans about how they are going to reduce their debt next year. Quite exciting really
.

hey
first time i have read your thread (epic!)
Being a bit silly and probably over sensitive since i have just done it myself but why dont you cut up your cards and take away the option of spending on them?
I feel awful having just done mine but think will be better to take temptation away.DFW 228 LONG H 68

Hi Angelflower and welcome. I only have 1 card left and keep it for internet and emergencies. My mum normally keeps it for me but I got it off of her to buy DD a gift online and ended up putting £900 on it  . Not quite ready yet to get rid of this one too. So long as after Christmas I pay it off then only use it and always clear it then I'll keep it but if I get to the stage I am spending on it all the time and not paying then I'll cut it up.
PAYDAY TODAY!! Paid £350 to Barclaycard, £10 to MBNA, £ 170 to Halifax.  I need to get rid of all this as it is really p*ssing me off that I have paid out all of that today. That would have taken one of us abroad for 2 weeks holiday!!! Without debts my monthly direct debits are < £520. With debts they are £1149.00:eek: . I mean OMG!! No way is my lightbulb flickering any more it is 100 watt bright cos I am sick to death of this malarkey. Going for it as of now. I have a few things still to buy for pressies and DD's outfit, trainers for DS and a sparkly top for moi. Hopefully get it all tomorrow then every other penny will be going towards my debt. Packed lunches are back on the menu etc etc. Bit of a bummer though as I am going on strike next week for 2 days  .oh well would be no fun if it was easy :rolleyes:5 Year plan. Hey MIT, it's a pain but at least you've paid off another £530 off your debt. Yesterday was payday for me too, and all I paid out was £160 at the hairdressers:eek: . I normally pay a chunk off the debt when I get paid but because of the hair, and because it's the last payday before xmas, I've decided to leave it until the end of the month because no matter how well I budget, this month always works out more expensive than I anticipate:o1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0

Evening all. Took DD&DS to the shops today. Don't you just hate taking kids shopping  . DS just wanted to take the first thing he saw then go to Woolies to spend his pocket money and get home. Had to bribe him using Woolies as the lever to get him to behave in the other shops so that DD could get an outfit for her school dance. She is 13 and what a nightmare !!! I miss the days when I just bought her a dress and she was chuffed to bits with it. I can see her and I coming to blows if we shop too often lol. The things she liked I hated and vice versa. Anyway she eventually got 2 tops so we have a choice. Got the 2 of them trainers. Ex had promised to get them but as per usual he didnt so I had to fork out for them.
Spent the afternoon and until 8pm at the A&E with my mum. She doesnt keep too well and when I went into see her today she looked absolutely awful and was really nauseous and dizzy. She said she would go to docs on Monday as she didnt like to bother them. I said aye right mum- I dont mind bothering them. When doc saw her I had to take her straight to hospital. Turns out the medication she had recently has really afected her. She is home now and DD is staying overnight with her. I didnt leave her until 10pm .
RED!!!! I cant believe you spent all that on a hairdo. You better be looking like a total babe for that amount. What the hell did you get done?? .
