good for you, i've just been paid, got rid of a bit more off the old debts, chip chip chippin away at them!
chins up ladies, weigh in tomorrow!0 -
Good for you tifn. Slow and steady we go. I was going to remortgage and I called the solicitor today and they wanted £30 to discharge something, £50 for deeds and then when I read the actual offer from the building society it turns out it was going to cost me over £900 in all:mad:  . No bloody way!! I warned the financial adviser at the time that I was not interested in paying any fees. I have cancelled it as I am not so stupid these days.I'll pop into the mortgage board and see if anyone has any advice. Pay day tomorrow woohoo!!!! Going to spend a wee bit this month though as I am getting a summer house for out the back garden. I am getting it soon as my pal can get a 20% discount for a month so need to buy it ASAP. Getting a wee man to fit it for me also. I am going to put it on my credit card but am due a bonus from work soon so will pay it off from that. Looking forward to doing something nice for us.

Three Italian nuns die and go to heaven....
At the Pearly Gates, they are met by St. Peter. He says, "Sisters, you all
Led such exemplary lives that the Lord is granting you 6 months to go
Back to earth and be anyone you wish to be....Just tell me and your wish will be granted immediately"
The first nun says, "I want to be Sophia Loren;"
And *!!!!!!* she's gone.
The second says, "I want to be Madonna and *!!!!!!* she's gone.
The third says, "I want to be Sara Pipalini.."
St. Peter looks perplexed. "Who?" he ask
"Sara Pipalini;" replies the nun.
St. Peter shakes his head and says, "I'm sorry, but that name just doesn't
Ring a bell."
The nun then takes a newspaper out of her habit and hands it to St. Peter.
St. Peter reads the paper and starts laughing. He hands it back to her and
Says.
"No sister, the paper says it was the ' Sahara Pipeline' that was laid by
1,400 men in 6 months."
If you laugh, you are going straight to hell!5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I cant believe it. I am so chuffed. Would love it under 13 by the end of the year. Have decided to do my best the next couple of months but will concentrate on doing Christmas without adding to my debt. Went shopping today for food. Kids are all excited as there's stuff for eating now. :rotfl: .I love payday x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

wicked news on getting under £14k. its great when you get to a milestone, keep going girl!
i am not going to say anything about my weight today - lets just say "maintain" like they do at slimming world if we don't lose any eh?0 -
Lol yep sounds good to me.
Deliveries all done :j . I have blisters on my blisters but it will be worth it when I get the summer house done. Feels good actually to work so hard for something rather than putting it on a card then paying it off. I hate slaving my guts out to pay off stuff I already have.
I had a day out yesterday with friends and I have a fair sore heid today  . Spent £30 but we had some food as well as loads of booze. Was really nice to see everyone and have a gossip. That'll be my social life over until Christmas time no doubt.
Housework is all up to date except will need to iron tonight. Still being a nightmare on my diet. I think the delivering has kept me steady or else I would have put weight on.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

hi pastures.
the point in freezing your card is that you don't have it on you in the shops so you have to be more considerate of what you're buying - do i need it and can i get it cheaper anywhere else?
then you have to drag yourself back home to get the card out of the freezer and by that time you have probably realised you can live without the item.
my problem used to be that i had cut up my card so i couldn't buy in the shops, but i could still buy online because i had memorised the card details.
that card got renewed and i cut up the new one straight away before memorising any details, then i cancelled it eventually.
mit has given hers to her mum so she has to ask for it - mine is at the bottom of the freezer so i have to rummage through all my frozen fruit for smoothies.0 -
oh damn. I think I'm skinto this month again lol. oh well i am sure I'll manage to survive.
Going back to he slimming club on Wednesday. Groan. I wish I could just get my !!! in gear and get on with it. Feeling a bitty jaded just now. Just needing to motivate myself again on both the money saving and the weight loss. Bought paint today to paint my outside doors. Really needing new ones tbh but will paint them for the moment until I can afford to buy new ones. So long as they look better thats the main thing. Tried it out tonight on the back door and if it looks good then front door will ne next with new nameplate and number. That was a major gripe for me when delivering the phone books. Why oh why do people not have numbers on their doors:mad: . Was doing my head in having to guess. Thank god I'm not a postie.
