My road to being a millionaire - I wish

hi birdies, how are we all doing? I am full of a cold. My head is like glue.
I'm having grapes as part of the five a day today (white wine) instead of the usual apples or barley hops and wheat. Had 5 bottles yesterday (but only those tiny little ones with a teaspoon full of wine).
Don't want to go to work tomorrow, I will not look good. In the money saving quest, the OH backed me up when I suggested going for the own brand balsam tissues instead of Kleenex Balsam. How different can they be, we asked.
They are not the same and I just got a text from Santa saying he wants to use my nose to guide his sleigh on Christmas Eve.
I don't want to think about Christmas. It is not being budgeted for at the moment.
Anyway, I might ask for Beechams cold and flu in my stocking. I don't think i'm making much sense. Head full of glue.0 -
Aww poor tifn. Hope you feel better today. Well my internet connection at home is zapped. My nine year old was trying to connect his wireless connection to the network in the house yesterday and now no computer will connect lol. This is quite a normal occurence when he gets let loose and I really should have stopped him but hey ho. My brother is a bit of a whizz though and will come down to the house tonight and hopefully sort it out.
My ex paid in the maintenance today so I have counted up the money I need for next Friday to pay my loan and I will JUST make it if I dont spend anything other than the £15 in my purse........GULP!! Well I'll have a damned good bash at it if nothing else. Will have to get the breadmaker dusted off again as I will be running out of bread in the next day or so. Dunno how I will stop myself from scoffing it.
Hopefully I will be back later. xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I am thinking how am I going to pay for my bus this week to get to work!? I have accounted for the wedding and hen do i'm going on in the next fortnight but i'm going to be a bit of a misery, having budgeted only £45 for both, including taxis! I'll have to just be a bit wacky rather than drunk.
that'll leave me about £30 to pay for the bus for a fortnight and train twice a week for two weeks - maybe i can get away with a child's ticket.0 -
Have a drink before you go. A wee bottle of wine will be enough to get you in the party mood then you just need to top yourself up all night. He he at the child's ticket. I used to get a childs ticket until I was about 18. I think the driver was so used to me asking for it he didnt catch on for a couple of years that I had aged :-).
My brother didnt come down to fix my comp last night and I am like a bear with a sore head without it. Promises he will do it for me tonight. We'll see. Still not spending much. Had to buy milk and cheese yesterday and broke out and bought DS a Beano. He gets it every week and its not his fault I am skint so I scraped the money together for him. Although being so skint is ticking me off the challenge is giving me a buzz. I am absolutely determined not to borrow off my mum. My DD has about £20 if I need it and I will pay her back next week. Only going to borrow that though if I need petrol, which I probably will. Laters xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

BE STRONG! get thee to thy store cupboard! Can you make a week's worth of meals with what you've got in?
I have been blagging lifts off people from work (including one work mate who can hardly see, talk about white knuckle car journeys)!
Train is going to be a bit of a pain, no way to get a cheaper ticket. I did once try to get to Blackpool for a concert using a child's ticket when I was 16 (I think you could only use it if you were 15 or under). The British Transport Police checked the ticket, asked me my age - instead of giving them my sixteen year old date of birth plus one year I told them the age I had practised to get into pubs!
They stood me up on the packed train, ripped my ticket up and made me buy an adult one. Then I couldn't even afford a pint when I got to the concert.0 -
he he @ you. I have plenty of food in tbh so should just about manage until next Tuesday. The only problem might be the packed lunches. I am running out of fillings for them. I'm fine cos I have a microwave in work so I can heat up leftovers but the kids need sandwiches or wraps, I have chicken in the freezer so I will use that for wraps for a couple of days. I'll be fine she says , crossing her fingers. Good luck with your journeys !:eek:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

well done you!! I said last night when I left SW that I was going to be mega good but hey ho I have been mega bad.....oops!!
Bought fruit tonight so I will have another go tomorrow.
Had to borrow £20 off DD today to buy some essentials. Need to borrow another £30 off my mum tomorrow. C'est la vie. I will pay it back next week.
Went to bank today to see about my mortgage. I am still on a variable rate ( not from the lack of trying to get off it..long story) so hopefully I will be saving about £40 per month and will fix it @ 5.99% for 5 years. Sounds fine to me tbh as I am sure the rates are set to rise yet again. At the end of the 5 years I have an option to extend it to 10 years at no extra cost. At least I will know what I will be paying for the next 5 years. Gives me a sense of security tbh as I have had 3 rises so far this year and that is on both the mortgage and the secure loan. Going to combine them and just one payment then. Still seeing this as a challenge even though I have had to borrow money. Hopefully I will get to the end of the month free and clear. 3 wages until Christmas eek!!!!!!!!!!5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I put £5 of petrol in my car tonight and it didnt even make the light go off  I normally fill the car up as I will use the fuel anyway. Total shocker that a fiver is so little. I will need to put another £5 in tomorrow and then hope it does me until Tuesday. Car boot is booked for Saturday. I hope it turns out dry and busy but we will see. I have loads to sell anyway so all I need are buyers. Am shattered tonight and my weekend is going to be quite manic. Oh well I'd be bored otherwise5 Year plan.
