I had an interesting start to the week. Wiggled my way out of work for two hours to attend a focus group (ka-ching) and worked back the two extra hours to stay in the good books... so the house fund is starting to grow. Got the grocery delivery quite early, chuffed with Tesco delivery, all went smooth, just a shame I couldn't get any of the codes on this forum to work properly!

  • YAY :j Have paid Argos off. No interest to be paid now and didnt add it to a credit card. Paid £105 extra to Barclaycard so am well chuffed. Although that is extra its because of the snowballing effect. When I first snowballed I had an amount I had to pay from my cards each month to meet minimums and that was £335 :o . Have changed to 0% deals on 2 cards and have paid off thehigher rate ones so suddenly seem to only need to pay £220. ( only lol) that is fab though cos it means I have loads extra to pay off of Barclaycard. Thats the one the snowball says to get rid of first and thats what I want to do anyway. Am on track for my mini target of paying off Argoa and B'card by Christmas :j . I'm feeling well motivated and am so glad I sorted myself out prior to getting this extra cash. I am getting £20 more per week as well :j . Hopefully this is a corner being turned financially wise. Hope you are all doing well too xx

  • Thanks SS and KP. I must admit it feels good. It's daft to go off the wagon cos it feels so damned good when you are on it :D . Not much spent today other than bills cos its payday. My promotion form is done at last :j . Maybe not mind you as I have sent a copy today to my bosses and no doubt they will rewrite it lol. I have a bit of work to do tonight on my assignment and then start the next one cos it is due in on 8th and I will be away then so need to get a move on. My life is sooooo bloody exhausting. I better get this promotion as some point considering the effort I have put in ;) . I'm going to try and not buy much shopping this week other than fresh stuff cos we are going away and I will stock up when I get back. I stop tomorrow for two weeks :j :j :j .
Been hearing Martin ranting about capping electricity eyc but I feel so righteous as mine has been capped for 2 years and will still be capped until 2010. Wondered at the time if it was the right hting to do but OMG yes it was! I have £251.09 to pay to get under £14k. I am going to try and do my best and get it done this month. Might not manage but I am going to have a damned good try. Keep well all xx

  • Well shockerooni !! I am skint again lol. Got a small bonus from work this month but went to Glasgow today and got most of DD's uniform. Cost me well over £100. Wee man needed trainers and a backpacck and I still need to get him trousers and a new shirt. Spent £150> and what did I get?? Hee Haw as per usual :rotfl: . Well I got a jacket potato. Kids had macdonalds. Never mind thats it more or less bought and I'll get the rest when I come back from my short break. There is a huge rock festival here this weekend and apparently the fighting has started already  . Why cant people just go out and enjoy themselves instead of being idiots. Wher is the enjoyment in getting so drunk you end up in trouble, so out your head on drugs that you cant function normally. I just dont get it !!! Maybe I am just lucky and none of it appeals to me. I like a wee drink but not very often. Not being all pious or anything but jeezo man!! . They were all fighting last week and it was a folk festival that was on fgs. ( Was great fun ) No fighting the night I was htere thank goodness but we left early just incase. Ok rant over and away for a cuppa before BB. What a wild life I lead lol. x

  • hello there. Another bit of a spend day today unfortunately. My mum has had my kids for three weeks whilst I have been at work. I drop them in the morning and pick them up at night. She feeds them and spoils them rotten whilst they are there and won't let me provide food or anything. I bought her flowers and took the 4 of us for lunch so I have spent over £40. Probably saved more than that foodwise mind you over three weeks because my gawd my kids can eat for Scotland. Rock festival is still on here. Bit weird opening your front door and hearing the sex pistols etc. Not my scene and its raining so I dont even want to go down and soak up the atmosphere. I am incredibly lazy today. Must be because I am on holiday and this is th efirst day I have had in ages to relax. Must admit it is smashing:D . I could get a job doing nothing ;) . Going to make some food now so cheery bye.x

  • Good afternoon. I had an assignment to do and needed to finish it by tomorrow as due date is next week when I am away on holiday but I haven't managed to do it. I am totally stressing myself out trying to do it and my mind has gone completely blank. I have sent a begging e-mail to my tutor for an extension. Only spent just over £2 yesterday as I needed potatoes and juice. Spent £4.50 today on slimming club. Lost a pound this week so that's 10.5 in 3 weeks. Got slimmer of the month:j . I have loads to lose though so not really feeling much difference yet to be honest. Hopefully by Christmas I will feel a big difference.
This is day 2 of my holiday and DS is driving me nuts already. He is bored and his mates are all away doing other things. I am too busy to amuse him just now. Need to finish my ironing and get my stuff packed for our wee break.I want to tidy the house and cut the grass as well so I wont have it all to come back to. I hate walking into an untidy house when I have been away. Been doing my free scratch cards every day. Keep spending some of it though :o . I have a good few pounds in my various accounts though so will hopefully be able to lift some soon. I am waiting oon money from toluna going into my paypal account and I can then lift about £15 from that. I have got £20 Argos vouchers from other survey sites coming and £5 Amazon. Thats a start for Christmas pressies and the money will go towards my Barclaycard which is the next one on my hitlist. I have 2 cards then that are on 0% so will have to look and see which one ends first and hammer the money into that one before the offer ends. Life is just one big juggling act lol. Hope everyone is doing well x

  • Good morning. Just back from Holidays (again). Had a lovely time in Lincoln but unfortunately the weather wasnt great. Skegness was pretty dreich on Saturday lol I have never managed to get a dry day there yet. Nearly had a major crash on the way down on the A1. That is one horrible road. Thank god I managed to control the car. Had to stop at next services though cos I was crying with shock at the near miss. Quite traumatised by it all  . Overspent by about £100 and will have to make that up by the 28th of this month so that my loan gets paid. I still have a couple of things to buy for uniforms unfortunately. Might leave them untill the ned of themonth as the kids have enough to go back on Monday with. I have hardly any food in either  . Will be good for the diet lol. Need to trawl through my cupboards and see what I have got available and then do a list to last me until the end of next week. Never mind it's worht being skint for a couple of weeks as we had a lovely time and it was nice to see our family. I'll catch up on here later x
