  • Bought my first Christmas pressie. Got a boxed set of Dr Who for son marked down to £27 from £69 on Amazon:j . Ended up putting a load of shopping on my credit card as we had hardly any food and obviously because credit card money is 'not real' I went a bit mad and spent over £125. Also bought nearly £40 worth of pet supplies but that should last us for months. Other than that i only spent £3 :rotfl: . Aren't I good? NOT lol. Going out tomorrow night and having chinese food so that will cost me a couple of quid but as far as I can tell there should be no other expenses this weekend. Famous last words huh! Ok am tired. so am off to bed x

I've been so bad lately that I've got my conscious permanently on stand-by to guilt trip me into not buying things. Guess I've become quite persuasive, lol, I've started to convince myself that I need things I don't need. Geee.....

but.... pulling my socks up! Will be working like a donkey until overtime deadline so that I can get a few more £££ in the next payslip!

  • Hi Buzz and Lunar. Lovely to hear from you both.
Buzz I was determined that I was going to be good today but actually managed to get my hands on the elusive wii fit so spent £70 I hadnt counted on spending. It is fabulous though and I had a ball using it today. I'll probably need a wheelchair tomorrow though lol as my muscles will be howling in protest. It's really hard this though being a money saver. Was my mate's birthday today but I forgot as per usual but luckily had acard I could give her when I saw her tonight. Bought chinese for a fiver but then bought kids a chippy tea at £7.50:eek: . Went to friends and there were two of my pals kiddies starting school on Monday so felt I had to give them a couple of pounds for pencils etc as other people had bought them things :o . I am a rotten pal lol as I never think of these things.

Lunar I hope you get your chinese. Enjoy it. How are you keeping these days?

Right I really need to try and be good tomorrow cos these cards are coming out way too often these days and it has to stop as I refuse to move my debt free date other than in the right direction. Take care all xx

  • hello hello hello!!
Not been here for ages :o . Still plodding away though. Not managed to pay any extra off of anything this month so far as dd is going on a school trip and had the balance for that to find. Have paid it but still have to find the cash to pay my 2 loans that come off between now and end of month  . I have £198 towards them but they are £280 odds. One comes off on Wednesday so am ok for that one but will be a struggle for the next one. Will just have to have a mega skint week this week. Recipe books will be getting used to use up what I have in the cupboards etc as supplies are getting very low.

I have started doing the daily scratchcards which have brought in a few pounds. Have had to use them to keep afloat so far unfortunately but that is DD's holiday paid now but ds's birthday and Christmas is just around the corner. Jeezo man it never stops does it?

I started salsa dancing :D . It's fab and a brilliant workout too. Kids are getting a wee bit older and DD can now look after DS for a couple of hours in the evening. I love having a bit of a life again :D . Between doing the salsa, The wii fit and dieting I have lost just about a stone so am feeling fitter too.

I'm feeling very positive about life just now and have great plans for the future once I am out of this debt. I went to see a motivational speaker called Jack Black ( not the actor) and he has changed my outlook on life completely. I was there for the whole day and it was excellent. I am quite a positive person anyway so these type of things appeal to me. He was saying during his talks that everyone has ownership for their own destiny and we can make all the excusues we want but basically we are the only ones who can sort ourselves out. Well it was like a lightbulb moment for me lol and I have changed my attitude hugely since then. Istick to my diet really easily now and if I stray then it's no biggie. I am trying all sorts of ways to save cash and I will definately get rid of this debt sooner rather than later. Then I can do what I want to do. The less effort I put into saving money then the more time it will take me to have the life I want so really it's up to me to sort it out. Makes sense to me lol. Anyway am away to have a wee catch up. xx

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
