  • Good morning. Got a day off today. House is pretty much tidy and ironing up to date so I can have a whole day doing what I want ....yay!!..........Going to go to the bank and put some money into my account. Will then get my assignments started and spend some time on here having a nose around. Heaven !!
Both kids away to school with packed lunches today for the first time in ages. I'll eat ryvita and banana or something for lunch. Will make a huge dish of corned beef hash for dinner. Tasty, cheap and filling. I've a few things in the freezer that will see us through until Thursday when I get some more money.
I had asked for an increase in my Barclaycard account as I want to do a balance transfer. I reduced my balance about 5 months ago and dont even want to take it up as high as that again but they have said I was over my limit !! !!!!!!!! ......I was not. I have e-mailed them to check this out and tell me when I was over cos I know for a fact that I wasn't. I really need this as my 0% ends in November and I refuse to pay silly percentages. Might need to have another think on what to do about it if they keep refusing.

Bank of slate I haven't seen the troll deeply in debt but thanks for the warning. x

  • Woohoo :j NSD today. First one for months. I put the cash in the bank so thats the loan sorted for the 17th . Just to find the money for the one on the 28th now. £84 to find  . Means I will have used my £100 overdraft which is a bit of a bummer as I try hard not to use that now but too many other things to pay to be able to do anything about it. I have been looking at houses today :o . You'd think I had money or something but that is my end goal when all this is done. Am stuffed full after my dinner but must say it was a very average meal. Corned beef hash with no butter or cheese ( boring). Healthy and cheap and has filled me up so that's the main thing I suppose. Ok am away for a wee roam. Catch you later.x

  • Good evening. Been to my salsa class. Fantastic! I love it. I know I shouldn't be spending the £4 a week but I love it and it is a bit of me time. Forgot my friend in work owed me £3 from 2 weeks ago so that more or less paid for it anyway. Been watching the news and it is at times like this I am thankful I have no savings  . I'd just be worried about them at the mo whereas I know my debt will be nice and safe wherever it is.
Had to buy some food tonight. Just basics like bread, chees milk, cold meat and a few other wee things. Was only £12 so not too bad but I am running out of food rapidly. I get money on Thursday so will buy some shopping from that. I will do a menu plan and stick rigidly to that and hopefully get a cheap week next week too. No wonder we go mad when we go shopping though cos I really feel as if we have done without this week- although we haven't. I feel vulnerable because freezer, fridge and cupboards are quite bare. Never mind I will fill them up again at the end of the month as I have a days overtime and apparently we are getting some sort of tax rebate so that'll cover what I need. Hope everyone is well. xx

  • Evening..... Busy day today for me. Worked a full shift. Went straight from work to slimming club ( lost 5lb) cost me £4.50 plus £1 per pound into the terramundi. Gave DD lunch money as hse likes to buy lunch with her mates. A packed lunch is not cool  . DS thankfully prefers a packed lunch so no cost for him. Had to buy a chippy dinner for them as had no time to cook as had to go out tonight as well and too late for them to wait until now. Cost me £4.80. Not too bad spending wise but could defo been better. Was visiting with my cousin who I havent seen for years and he has suggested his daughter and mine go to xscape for Bowling, pics and food  . He is loaded and ahem I'm not. Didn't want to say anything though as he would have offered to pay and that's a no no. So long as they wait until the end of the month hten it might be doable. Any way am tired. Hope everyone is well x

  • Well done on the weight loss MIT. I do chippy dinners fairly often a cheapish non cooking solution!

  • Hi KP. I had 2 chios from their chippy and dipped them in curry sauce. Delish!! Why the hell doesn't salad and low fat stuff taste so good? . If I could get low fat meals that tasted like chips and curry then I would be one happy bunny ;) .

I have been pretty good spending wise today. Fiver to DD for 2 days lunches. Bought some macaroni and a couple of small sweets for kids. Whole lot for less than £2. Kids had macaroni and I have some for lunch tomorrow. I had sausage casserole so all is well. x

  • hi and here's to a nice Sunday!! Was sunny here and everything.I am skint, skint, skint. What's new though. 10 days until payday and I can't wait. This has been one tough month moneywise but I will be so proud if I make it to the end of it without having used the CC. Used the New Look card yesterday though as DD needed some stuff for Skiing. She is going to Austria with the school in Jan and is startinglessons this week. More Bleeding money  . Only a fiver every 2 weeks though so should be able to manage that. The bill fror new look will be cleared when it comes in as I have a wee bit extra in wages this month.
I am due £10 from bingo site for scratchcards, am due £35 expenses and if they go in this week then I will be very happy as that means I only have about £50 to find this week for the loan and I will be sorted. I won a fiver on one of the sites today so thats me nearly at a tenner in another 2 sites but doubt they will be in this week. I have really had to use my imagination with food this last week and we have had some combinations but hey we got through it again. I stocked up a wee bit for this week so we should eat pretty normally this week. I hope everyone is all well and busting the debts...............cos I am doing rubbish :(

  • Good Evening. Busy week for me this week, School board tonight, salsa tomorrow:j and slimming club on Wednesday. Work during the day of course. Managed to withdraw another 2 tenners from the scratchcard sites. I forget how long they take to come through as it would be a big help if they came through nice and quickly. I owe my dd £10. Still £80 to put in other account for loan BUT I now have £30 from scratchcard sites and £35 expenses so taht only leaves me £15 to find if they are all in my account prior to 29th. Doubtful huh! So I will just put the £80 in off my money and then I wount be so overdrawn when I get paid next week. It's a constant juggle!! I wonder what I would be like if I had no debt :D . LOADED is what I would be like lol. Then again no doubt the standard of living in this house would rise or I'd buy a bigger house. So I will just have to enjoy this learning curve of mine  .
I made lasagne tonight from Quorn. Was yummy. DD has decided no red meat for her these days so I have discovered quorn and I am pretty impressed to be honest. Not as dear as lean mince, no fatty bits and much much more healthy. All good.Anyway take care x
