I am elated because my tutor gave me loads of feedback and there are only a couple of very small things I need to change in my assignment. Words like excellent, fabulous, great etc were being bandied about. I am well pleased. The stress has been worth it.
Well done you - must have been a great boost!:T :TMortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
Mortgage balance: £36,210
Money making challenge £38/400

Aww Binnie good luck with e-bay. I have still not put my stuff on
. Been looking out more tonight as well. Not sure whether to e-bay them or not though as it is dancing costumes of my daughter's and the last one I sold on there I only got £1 for and it cost me £45. There is a wee local shop that sells things for you or I might ask the dancing teacher if she knows anyone wanting them.
Went out for lunch today with my mum and spent £35  . I need to stop spending now as I am going to be in deep doodoo if I dont. I have car to MOT this month, My mum's birthday, Easter, need to pay for Norton. OMG too much lol. I better get the sandwiches made so I dont start spending money on lunches.
Hope all you mums had a nice day. I did. Kids made a nice fuss of me.
Thanks SS it was a great boost. I have ordered some books from internet that are really relevant to my course so I will finish the assignment this week and that will be me until April. I will just have to do some reading before my next residential.

First NSD for ages today :j . Felt good. Had DS at the hospital today for a check up to see how his vertigo etc is. Everything has been fine so no need to go back for 6 months:D .
I am going to pay in a cheque to bank tomorrow to pay off my overdrafts. Will really just transfer the debt to a CC but will be 0% until November and will save me loads of dosh. As I think I said before I will save the money rather than pay it off each month. Might as well get some interest paid to me. I will just pay the minimum until I need to pay it off. A few hard months in front of me to ensure no interest charges.........eek!!!!!
Need to be more organised. Hope everyone is well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Glad to hear it was good news at the hospital for DS.
Tonight has been pretty productive. Transferred what was left of last months wage and my regular savings from this month over to my ISA, so that's another £622.51 off the target. Now I've written it down I can't believe I didn't just round it up to £623:doh: Sometimes I can be such a muppet.
Made more butternut squash soup (bit of a spicier receipe this time), enough for tea for two of us and 6 lunches for me so that should have saved some cash and calories:p . Also made sandwiches for OH tomorrow in the vain hope that if I make them for him he might save on lunches and quit borrowing cash off of me. The chances of him making his own are zilch.
Think it's another early night for me. Yesterday was a long one. OH decided to have a spring clean so I left him at it whilst I went to see my mum. Several hours later when I got back, gone 6pm, he'd ripped everything out but hadn't got round to putting anything away, so finally got into a position where we could eat at 9pm. The lounge and kitchen looked liked they'd been bombed. Why is it when I have a big clean-up the most I get is "yeah, looks good" whilst he continues to stare at his computer, yet when he does a clean up I'm expected to help out and offer constant encouragement and praise that he's doing a really good job and it looks so much better? x1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -
hi folks. Eeew with the butternut squash stuff again Red!! We had a freezer dinner tonight. I had leftover stew and mash and kids had leftover macaroni cheese. Was minimum cooking and yum yum. Spent £37.20 today  . £37 on DD's dancing and 20p on DS's lunch. I've been all organised with lunches etc so have spent minimum. I put a 0% cheque for £1800 into the bank today. That'll clear the 2 overdrafts and dd's deposit for her trip to Austria. As I have said before I will have this on 0% until November. So with my 0% deals on Argos and for this I NEED to save £250 per month, including this month  . Going to do it though as I refuse to pay the MBNA gits 29% interest and Argos isn't much better. So will look as though hardly anything coming off my totals until later in the year. Never mind it'll look good in November or earlier. Wish me luck xx5 Year plan. Fingers crossed on the £250 a month front. If anyone has the self-discipline to do it you have:D .
An NSD for once for me, but I'll need to get bread again tomorrow as OH had finally realised that I'm not making tea tonight (would be the third night running whilst he hasn't made a meal since Thursday), so he's opted for beans on toast. Could probably done with cooking something decent in the vain hope that the oven might help warm up the flat. Despite the heating being on 25degrees we're sat here in coats and hands are going numb!
Ooh, best go, the beans on toast is being served! Had a cheap day too. Decided to cut back a lot as I have cut my hours down at work.
Was going to pack some butties for work but run out of time, but managed to get one piece of toast for breakfast at work for 15p including best butter, one hot choccie from machine and they are very good, two fried eggs and two toasts for lunch and a coffee and it all came to the grand total of £1.15 for the lot, wow cheaper than packing my own stuff up I would say.
I also got the added bonus of getting cash back from the drinks machine. I put my 20p in for the hot choccie and out came 30p, hee hee.0 -
Hi, How can I cross my signature thingies out when I have achieved them, or if my quidco winnings get more if you see what I mean.
You all seem to have lines running through the figures when they have been achieved.
Fanx :rolleyes:0 -
Highlight the bit you want to put the line through and then press the strikethrough button (the one that looks like an S with a line through it). All that does whilst you're editing is put [strikethrough] before and after the text you've selected but once you save it (or if you preview it), it should work.
