melly - that MIL hid these things away is really significant. She could have thrown them out - but, she hung on to them. I wonder if she got them out when she was alone...............but hid them from the evil ones so she wouldn't get any grief from them.
your poor OH! I think the 'hand' is a physical symptom of the mental torment he has been through.
Just keep doing what you are doing melly - I know you probably think you could/should be doing more - but, you are doing wonderfully hun. all those years are not going to be undone or healed in such a short time. it will take time and your OH will be doing a lot of thinking and soulsearching.

So just got back.

Hidey hole created for Mr T Cat has been thrown or used to transport stuff despite being aware it's his.
My MIL would be devastated at the state of the place nothing has been cleaned since we were edged out so it's vile just spent 3 hours cleaning it.


SIL can't remember my name lol I think this was supposed to upset me.
The nice furniture they were stealing has been damaged as the nasty nephew didn't strap it in the wagon.

I don't know when the funeral is (been away for a couple of days) but I think you and OH can expect more of the same, unfortunately, up to and including the day of the funeral.

Who knows, not next week.
SIL also asked OH for half the cost of a mum wreath that he had absolutely no imput into.
Just upset at the lack of thought for the cat (whilst saying things like mum made me promise to make sure t was taken care of)
The throwing away of all the cleaning products (er how's the place meant to get clean)
The filth of the place that up until the end of Jan I was cleaning weekly (MIL was houseproud)

And being childishly amused by the fact that when people try and do sneaky things they should really make sure they strap it into the van.

We also put me on the same level as nasty nephews girlfriend of a year lol. (If Mellymoo is having stuff then E needs to have something)

OH was getting upset but I have made him laugh tonight by pointing out how silly it is, and reminding him I'm not upset as I don't give a fig what they think of me.

He was upset that I was cleaning but I told him it was for MIL as she would have been mortified at the state of the place.

You're handling this really well.

If you can just get through this bit then you never need to ever see them again. Your OH will be so much better off - and he has you! I am sure he knows how lucky he is.

Poor Mr T Cat. It is so unnecessarily cruel. I just hope he widdled in the wardrobe before they moved it. Cats spray when they're stressed. I hope he's stressed all over them.

It's the casual cruelty to MIL'S cat that annoyed me most. That and the fact they have been busy looking for stuff they consider valuable to keep the place vaguely clean.
