I love both Pollyanna
Dogs are toddlers need constant attention and love
Cats are teenagers still need love but don't want anyone to know.
My pickle is now big! Too much chicken lol.
Kevin still loves me a ridiculous amount and I'm not sure why lol,
Ty is a perv
My grinchy old man is currently demanding loves then telling me to get off lol.
The dogs are driving me mad if I'm honest, Boo is a nightmare when there's a girl.
Froo is a nightmare when he acts up cos as mummy Freya he needs telling off ALOT.
I will be fine, I am always fine land on my feet etc.0 -
There were always cats in my life from childhood Melly . We had a black lab for a few years before youngest was born but sadly he went into defensive mode for his pack and unable to accept her and attacked her . We had to make the tough decision to try to rehome him but nowhere would accept a dog that had attacked a toddler . That was over 30 years ago and I don't think my eldest dd ever forgave me .
She now has a beautiful red lab and dd2 has a chocolate lab . Both are gentle. loving giants . Our dog was a rescue so his history was unknown , add in a small person he didn't see as the pack and there wasn't any choice sadly .
I don't have any experience of deadlock letters before the ombudsman is contacted but it could be worth a try . I'm out of the loop here so don't know what if any medical or mh support there is at present . When we finally decided to go for one more time near the end of last year it was our wonderful GP who ordered everything to be assessed again . DD has been under that practice all her life with only 2 GPs both of whom dedicated doctors . That's a rarity I know .
We were lucky a new mh service was set up last year as the main service had been in special measures for a few years . Ironically the consultant psych who finally diagnosed the BPD in February had spent years insisting the Aspergers diagnosis from a child psych was correct . Within minutes of entering the room he uttered the words without discussion or disagreement. Possibly the first time I've been robbed of the power of speech!
If you can get someone in your corner it can start making a difference . I hope you find someone to help and give you the support to keep on going . I do remember how very hard it was when your husband was in hospital and when he returned home . None of it was fair or acceptable . I've always been a positive easy going soul but it was sheer anger that led us to talk to our GP and it worked way beyond our wildest dreams .
Never give up love .

Well the dog in the vid ran in when I opened the door for cats this morning
OH was upset that she will be cold.she in season so can not stay here nope no.
OH seems to be having a lung relapse thing, coughing up tons, shivers etc. Have honey (manuka) and lemond him he is wrapped up and will keep an eye it is docs if it gets worse, he won't go which just kills more lung.
Bloody tired but feeling a bit brighter today
Everything will be fine, I lwats pull something out of the bag0 -
Medical support - 6 monthly appointments waiting to be taught how to cough.
Mental health support - still chasing CBT as that's all they are offering tbh he's a lot further down now cos of the whole ITU and dying stuff so I'm not sure it will work.0 -
Hopefully some good news next week.
OT assessment is Monday
Emails sent pointing out information missing from SAR (bit illegal)
Requesting deadlock letter so I can go ombudsman.
Had a friend round to watch the match so OH is sleeping. Not happened since March I think so DWP can go away.
I am going to squish a pup shortly in a cheer me up manner0 -
This evening I have mainly decided that fireworks are evil0

Three labradors, two cats and me on the sofa tonight. One lab almost hiding behind me, one cat squished between the other two labs and the other cat almost draped around my neck! And all because of the fireworks!0

Bloody Ty came on the walk round cos he could hear Frey telling them off, that was 'fun' now got two very upset dogs.
Boo is upset anyway cos er ladies.
Thorsoak melatonin helps, mainly by making them sleep. You can order it from the states, it's not illegal to order, or own its illegal to sell.0 -
I have adaptil plug-ins around which generally do the trick - but tonight some wazzocks let some off in the folly which rounds alongside my garden when they were out there! For flippin' gundogs - one of whom has a FTCH of 6 years as her daddy - they should be bomb-proof - think it is Eydis who is the scaredy cat/dog - and if she can get up on the sofa, then the other two think they should be entitled too. Eydis will be wearing a thundershirt for every afternoon/evening for the next two weeks.0

Sounds like a very good plan Melly . Hope the OT assessment goes well tomorrow .
I've never been a fan of fireworks . There aren't more than a couple of houses with children here but there are only organised displays tolerated which is safer for children and far kinder to animals and pets . When I was a teenager we had a neighbour who was terrified of thunderstorms and fireworks . My mum used to send me to sit with her in the cupboard under the stairs until all was calm .
My sister's thought it was hilarious but I saw her fear and vowed never to dismiss peoples fears .
Thorsoak I have deep envy re the Folly . The manor in the nearby village has one but I always yearned for one . I planned to build one years ago but life took over .
