Following my (guess how many hours go on bet ya can't) sleep I have made decision today I am beautifying so roots, blondey bits and assorted other nice things.
I have just spent an hour cleaning g up wee (thanks Laurs we know your missing your dad but piddling everywhere is not the best way of showing it)
So I am going to make myself look less like a dark circled skeleton faced hag.0 -
No beautification too tired.
Taken T out had quite a large explore warned nice neighbour about him so he will keep an eye out as well.
Turns out he likes cats so maybe able to organise another bolt hole which would be good.0 -
I have to say I'm not a cat person, but Mr T is lovely looking. I hope you manage to resolve things in whichever way is best for all of you.
Any chance of a Sunday afternoon nap?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Me gonna see if I can snooze with the child above playing football Elsien.
We had cats before porky and Boo so I love both its a very different relationship to a dog more.one of equals.
Boo and porky curled up with me again they are being very loving.0 -
hi melly - sorry haven't posted in a couple of days - for some reason I zonked out on Friday (could have been something to do with the amount of babysitting I had done that day) and yesterday felt kream krackered all day and a huge takeaway did me in!
melly do NOT feel you are letting down anyone on here. We support you 100% and if you feel there is a chance that lovely mr T cat could integrate we will help all we can (I say 'we' because I am sure your regular mates on here would agree with me). BUT, you are the one there, and if you feel that that gorgeous kitty is in danger then of COURSE your option is to rehome. This is exactly what my son was afraid of - because JRs instinct to hunt and kill sometimes gets the better of them. if you felt that the cat may be in danger if you turn your back or have to go out - then I would agree with you that better mr T is rehomed than killed by your dogs. it would sour your relationship with them too.
whatever you decide mel - you have my (or our) support.0 -
I agree with Meri on this - you have to make the decision that is right for Mr T - it might not be the right one for you, nor for OH - but here, it really is a case that the animals HAVE to come first xxxxx
Heartbreaking, I know xxxxx0 -
Thanks Meri.
Mr Cat has been on an OH charm offensive (smearing up chest, blinky kisses and love bites).
It whether I can get Froo to associate Mr T with nice things and not see him as competition.
Boo backing her up instantly was a surprise (good one oddly) always introduced dogs to cat before in more space and it's 8 years since I was owned by a cat so I'm having to remember the language.
Froo was always going to be the tricky one, problem we have is not sure she's going to forgive him for the swipe so slowly slowly if I see anything like the other day again he will have too go for his own safety0 -
melly - they are YOUR pets and you are the one who understands them. you are the one who knows their personalities.
I can only go on what I know of the 'breed'. and I do know if one of a pair of JRs has a problem the other will back them up. and these two are very much a 'pair'.
its your decision mel - I know you love that cat - do you love him enough to find him another loving home? or to be vigilant and try to get the JRs to accept him into the pack?0 -
Alpha !!!!!.
Had one before when I was a kid.
We had a pack of dachshunds I was babysitting and my mother was in charge of making sure pepper was ok whilst giving birth. Pepper died and I hand reared the pups (got shadow to 12 weeks but that's another story)
Said I didn't want a replacement but came home to find Jazz she was lovely but one of the other !!!!!s decided she didn't like her.
Mother wouldn't listen still put them in together a me home from school to find her ripped apart.
So I know what a !!!!! is like when it's decided something.
Only reason I'm even attempting it is Froo loves me to distraction.0 -

A. Make an effort and go smart
