It's still so early to make a final decision, give it time. Animals pick up on the stress in the house as well xPlease be nice to all moneysavers!
Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."
Big big thanks to Niddy, sorely missed from these boards..best cybersupport ever!!0 -
The fight this morning was my dogs v the cat.
Froo is alpha, cat would not go where she had decided tom threatened her so instead of backing down he ramped up. Laurs joined in cos someone threatened his sister.
Can't cope with OH, tom, dogs, work, migraine, ribs and knee so hard decision but right one I think.
Currently not fair on anyone0 -
Thanks dig. OH is having a very bad day following the fight.
I might need to call them get some support0 -
Sorry everyone feel like I'm letting you down.
I love that bloody cat
But I also love my prickly girl0 -
Dig your a genius OH had the full force of Mr T Cats charm last night and is back to looking for ways we can get them to live together.
Have a Mr T pic0 -

I think that your OH sees the animals not getting on as being another thing that's not going to plan and is basically throwing his toys out of the pram rather than looking at ways to see if the animals can get along.
Give it time....only in Disney do animals hate each other and 90 mins later are cwtching up0 -
It's a little bit more complicated than that.
He hasn't had chance to grieve for his mum yet (though he is that's why the moods which change hourly)
He wants to make T work but he can't cope with worrying that they will hurt each other and is too messed up to listen to reason.
I would leave em to it and only intervene if too nasty (yesterday morning)
T has settled in so is doing the cat wandering around like he owns the place (He's a cat he does) but Froo also owns the place until hey sort it out there will be friction OH has just had a lifetime of friction he just can't deal with it.
Plus he doesn't see me at the min I'm animal soothing0 -
Look at me sticking up for OH lol0

I know I put it very simplistically but the fact that you both have had to deal with a lot (and that's probably the biggest understatement of the year) of carp is making him not listen to reason and for him to expect any different is unrealistic - and to rehome the cat is taking the easy option which isn't necessarily the best option - dare I say it for your OH as well as the cat.0
