melly, 'Trust' that cat can look after himself! relax a bit hunny. you still seem to be in a state of 'high alert'. that takes a toll on the body. and the mind. Honestly, you do not need to be like the meercat on watch! Deep Breaths, Calm down, and realise that .................its just you, OH, your lovely dogs, your new addition Mr Cat...........and everybody else is 'outside'. and they do not affect you now.

I know Meri, I have the sneaking suspicion that when I relax my guard I am going to collapse.
Need to chase docs today OH had a bad night, made worse by bouncing child all night.

to help with noisy neighbours, can you do something like have white noise? There is a dehumidifier in DH's bedroom, and sometimes I have YouTube on quiet. Strangely it was 'Duncan does Tekkit' at incredibly low volumes that helped me, but there are ten hours of rain noise on YouTube and I'm sure there's other stuff.

Noisy this morning
OH just texted me, for the last 1.5 hours the child has been jumping up and down on the same spot.

Back to emailing the Housing (not speaking to them needs to be auditable)
