I sympathise with damaged ribs! had them myself and honestly, trying to get comfortable enough to sleep was difficult!
I found that painkillers half hour before bed, then folding a spare duvet in quarters and putting it on the mattress - then a pile of pillows which I could 'arrange' to suit - did help. I felt like 'The princess and the pea' I had so many pillows! but, I did find I could get comfortable enough to sleep after a bit of 'rearranging' pillows.

Himself had another all animals must go attack.
Mr T escaped briefly then we had an ace game of chase and he finally came in (gotta love dreamies)
Without any drs reports the housing has assessed us as level 3 don't need to move so will be sorting that out tomorrow.
Following the loss of power our delightful upstairs neighbours (who blocked OH on the car park when he needed to get to his mum, and when they were told the situation had a lovely stomp around upstairs) left a passive aggressive note telling us not too touch their property.
Don't think they liked me asking them whether the caution live apparatus don't touch tape hadn't given away it was a power company and that actually it's not their property it belongs to the power company.
Ribs and knee still bloody hurt.
OH is much better he kept the painkillers flowing yesterday and left me on the couch with the dogs.

Yep upstairs didn't like it pointing out. They have been stomping around since 6.30am.
Housing have assessed us as nit needing to move. So about to have fun drafting my response.
I knew MIL'S had gone as the day before they were told there was a woman and child looking for MILS house number and she was saying we can't look at it officially yet but we can have a nose through the windows

I had a 'feeling' that the house would have been 'allocated' as soon as you notified them that MIL had died. So sorry melly. but, in a way, don't you think its better that you make a 'clean break'? that house held some very bad memories.
I think OH does the 'Pets must go' thing to punish himself. in a perverse kind of way he gets annoyed and to punish himself he thinks of a worse case scenario for himself. ergo, Pets must go. I don't think its to annoy you or punish YOU. its to do with HIM. he needs to learn that he doesn't have ANYTHING to punish himself for! he was a lovely son - my sons are lovely and he sounds like them. A son any right-thinking mother would be proud of!
