I don't know. I always find that the queue is longer at these types of pumps, as people seem t lose all sense of reality and wait endlessly for someone to push a button in the booth. I understand about busy places, but you have to interact with humans sometimes.

Don't get what you mean about profit though. Is it that you don't have the chance of picking up a halal sandwich as an additional impulse buy, or you don't want to pay for the attendants wages? If the latter, you know you are still doing that don't you?

My time is money. Less time spent at the petrol station the better.

    And Halal disgusts me.

that is the final time i ever visit a shell petrol station

visited this evening with a friend only to find a significant police presence around the area. upon entering the forecourt we were given a dirty look by a police officer and then followed to our petrol pump. we were not asked any questions. i approached a police officer and he informed me there was a heavy presence due to a recent offence.

we decided we did not feel safe remaining in the area and so opted to leave without making a purchase. i will not be returning.

...have you been overdoing the cluedo?

Or have you been drinking this

Someone must have told them about the illegal A4 signs.

So basically we need to wait a day or two until the next instalment of when Emz11 next visits a Shell garage either tomorrow or Tuesday.

I think the best way to buy petrol is the ones where you drive up to the kiosk after taking the fuel.
I have only seen this at asda petrol stations so far.
But it avoids the inconvenience of having to go inside the shop and also avoiding the problems associated with the pay at pump. Best of both worlds.

i am disgusted by the treatment me and my mother received at a shell petrol station today and i will now be boycotting them and told them i would be posting on this forum and i suggest you do the same.

    Oh dear, Emz11.

It's a pity your elderly mother didn't make you concentrate more on your studies.

If she had, you would almost certainly understand the meaning of the word 'boycott'. smiley-rolleyes010.gif

And I really do hope the petrol station in question is reading this tosh that you are writing - I'm sure it will be brightening their days. :rotfl:

Looking forward to hearing about the next 'friend' you decide to tell us about. smileyvault-popcorn.gif
